ok, the vehicle is taxed now, and i have valid insurance and a valid driving licence.. I was visited bt the police Sunday 27th January at my home, and he issued me with a producer.. to cover the 25th. On the 25th the van was towed away it wasn't even on the road, i hadn't driven the van since the 22nd, i moved it 100 yards down the road that day due to a wing mirror being stolen,and i thought it would be safer within view etc. however, i was not stopped driving the van, and im not the registered keeper of the van which begs the question why was i issued with the producer in the first place. and, they have my surname wrong. I am getting up to ten calls a day off the constable which is in my view, unnaceptable.. any views or help on this?

Hi all. I drive a van for work which is in my ex partners name, she is the registered keeper. however I suffered a puncture so I left it outside a local hotel, on the road. In the last day or so I found out the owners of the hotel had rang the highway board who towed it away, without any notice to anyone! Can they do this? The company is owned by the government. If they had caused any damage to the van do I have rights? Also the tax is four months out of date. I've emailed the police apologising and saying that I'd spent 1400 pounds on the van last year, and working outside for the last few months has been difficult to earn enough to tax it, as it is the last on the list. I want to foot the charges if any without my ex being penalised. Please advise, apologies if in wrong forum.

hi all that's exactly the same email they sent me a few week ago. although they continued to send me letters until I told them about oft etc. now the account is closed after twelve years!

isn't it just! hopefully there will be no more letters! thanks again boys!

hello all. just to keep you updated I received two emails from the company this morning. one said they would investigate further then another one saying that it is statute barred and that the account now has been closed. hopefully!

thank's Boo I may just do that! they've got some way of putting words into writing. you owe us this debt you need to pay now!

anyway I've sent them an email with the copy of the email they sent me also outlining that as a result of their actions I've had no alternative than to report them to the relevant organisations. and any further letters will be treated as harassment and reported to the police. and that as they admitted the age of the debt it would be statute barred anyway. hope I've done the right thing!

saying that though I received a letter off them this morning saying blah blah 'you owe us this debt you should pay it NOW' crying out loud!

hi all I just thought that someone would kindly give me a bit of advice. I'm self employed and sometimes sub contract myself to a company. when it came to payment I was issued with a cheque. no problem but they taxed me on my invoice. me being self employed I had to declare that cheque through my books so I technically was taxed twice. can someone please advise

I still have the email they sent me. I've sent an email back to them after I received their letter over a week ago just to remind them of their cessation in any contact but haven't had a reply!

hi Halibut. yeah it was Time. I've seen a lot of people on here having trouble with Akive but I'm so glad for everyone's help. they had me climbing the walls a few times a few years ago. Time's Computers were just a night mare.

yeah I hope so. no wonder they make people's lives a misery. I've sent several complaints now hope it make's a difference even to other people who goes through what they put them through! let's get the number's up! they shouldn't be allowed to trade.
