  1. Thank you very much Honeybee13 and I will do.
  2. Just wanted to post an update. My partner telephoned the state pension service and the lady said that she would send him out a form to fill in and told him to write that his divorce was decades ago so he does not remember much and just to write whatever details he does remember. Hopefully that means it will be ok. Thank you very much.
  3. Thank you for telling me about that Ethel Street. I must admit I have never really given things like that a thought and do not have one myself either but I do know you are right and I will have a look at that to make sure. Thanks again.
  4. Thank you so much and I will let you know how it goes.
  5. I didn't know that, I thought that if a court was "gone" that was it! We will do that and thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
  6. Thank you but he does not remember the name of the court, only the street that it was on as it was local, but that court building is no longer there and has not been for many years.
  7. He does not have a will but we have a son together who is an adult so I am assuming he would be next of kin.
  8. Thank you for your replies. I'm assuming the divorce definitely went through as my partner said that he had to go to a local court, was asked a few questions and was then told to sign a document. I have never been married or divorced myself so I do not know if this is the normal procedure or not. The court building he attended is no longer there. At the time he was living at the same address that we are living at now. He was living at this address before he married and has never moved. The divorce certificate is not specific to his claim, it just says on the website that you need to upload it and when I researched this subject, it appears that state pension claimants must provide a certificate.
  9. My partner has just had his invitation to claim his state pension but according to the website you must upload a divorce certificate. My partner was divorced almost forty years ago, says he does not remember receiving a certificate and does not know any details such as which court it was or the case number. He was the respondent. It says on the Gov website that you can apply to a central court to do a search but this costs £65 which will be a struggle to afford and I am worried that he does not even remember enough details to even carry out a search. I have said to him that he should just phone them but I am really worried that he is not going to be able to receive his state pension due to not being able to get a divorce certificate. In case it's relevant, me and my partner are not married and he has only been married that one time and he thinks the marriage lasted less than a year but definitely less than two years. Please can someone advise me.
  10. Hi and thank you very much for your reply. I do not understand how it has happened as it was marked as delivered yesterday but my phone has just turned up this afternoon. I had not paid for it in advance as it will be paid off as part of my contract. I do not know how to delete my post or mark as resolved so that noone else wastes their time reading and I am so sorry for wasting your time, I just panicked! Thank you.
  11. Hi please can someone advise me. I ordered a new phone (early upgrade) from Tesco mobile which was being delivered by DPD I kept checking the tracking throughout the day and up until approx 19.30 it said "your driver is running a little late. At 21.00 I checked it again and it said it was delivered at 13.39 I never received it though and was listening out all day. I have phoned Tesco mobile and they are investigating it for me but I do not know how this stuff works! What if the courier just lies to cover himself and then its just his word against mine. Tesco have said that he did not take a photo so its in my favour but what does that prove. I asked them to block the phone but they said they cannot yet as they do not know where it is. They said that I should hear from them in five working days regarding the investigation. I'm so worried about this, please can someone advise me? Thank you.
  12. Thank you very much for your help. I am perfectly happy to pay it to a dca as I absolutely owe it, and I'm so relieved to hear that it will not affect my credit rating. Thank you again for your reply.
  13. I had been paying my TV licence on a weekly payment plan but fell behind due to income issues during lockdown. I owe them £112. I have offered to pay small weekly installments that I can afford in order to pay it off but they say it is not enough and may have to pass it on to debt collection. Can someone please tell me, if they do pass my debt to a dca, will this affect my credit rating? I'm not concerned about having to deal with a dca and know how to deal with them but I've worked hard to build up my credit score and am worried that this TV licence debt will ruin it if it is passed on to a dca.
  14. Thank you very much for your replies. I will check Noddle when my new report is generated. Maroondevo52 thank you so much for that! Knowing it has happened to other people too is very reassuring as I was convinced something bad had happened and your reply has put mind at rest. Thank you again.
  15. I am really sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place as I was not sure where to post this. I use Clearscore to check my credit report every month and up to now my financial account information has always been the same and shows Santander current account, Santander credit card and Lloyds current account (Lloyds in default which drops off in six months) Today my credit report states "one new current account added to your report" I have not opened another account and the report does not give any details at all as to what exactly this new account is. Can anyone tell me please if this means that someone has opened something in my name? I always worry about fraud/identity theft and I am really worried about this.
