  1. HI... I am after some help and advice on a default I have recently found on my credit file. here's the story(have posted before about disappearing account) I had a bank account with Lloyds for a long time, also had there credit card, overdraft and savings account. everything was going fine until some time ago when my debts got to a stage where I was paying out more then I was earning ,so something had to be done. I sent off a token payment letter asking for six months to sort my finances out on credit card, was refused but started to pay token payment anyway. This was then defaulted after about six months but I still continued with token payment for a couple of years.(this is now being dealt with). During this time I moved accounts so Lloyds couldn't take all my wages to pay off credit card. my current account was going over the agreed limit every month due to the account charge and interest, I set up a standing order from my new account to make sure there was a payment every month to cover this as I wanted to keep the perks of the account i was paying for and I was using.(insurance, AA etc;). A couple of years ago I had to move house and phoned Lloyds credit card services and told them of this, I was told that I do not need to phone anyone else in Lloyds as there systems would update all accounts. After about 8 months I moved back to my previous address and again phoned Lloyds credit card and advised them. When the changes occurred with Lloyds my bank was one that was going to become a TSB, so on the day of the change i checked my online account and although the savings account was there , it showed no current account.(post under tsb forum). i contacted a Lloyds branch and was told it was nothing to do with them. i contacted a TSB branch and was told it is owed to Lloyds so speak to them. A couple of months latter i checked my credit report and it showed that the account has now defaulted and it mentioned that " i had gone away". i received no letters form Lloyds or tsb regarding this, i believe that all letters were sent to the address i stayed at for about 8 months, but i gave them my new address straight away. so i believe although Lloyds had my new address(noddle account showed cc debt at one address, current acc at another) they sent letters to the old address then defaulted the account , gave me false information as to who i need to speak to about this(recently received letter from Lloyds regarding this debt being collected by there DCA) to punish me for the credit card default. is there anyway i can challenge this? Thanls Fern

    Missing Account

Hi I hoping someone can shed some light on what is happening with my account. for years I had a lloydstsb account with a large overdraft and credit card. due to circumstances I defaulted on the card and started to make token payments. I switched banks but still kept up my current account with Lloyds. every month I would go over my overdraft limit from their charges but every payday I swapped over enough money to cover this. this has been going on for about 2 years. when my account was switched over I checked online and my account showed up on the new tsb site. last week it had disappeared. I tried to send some money to this account as I know it would have gone over but this time when I used faster payment the money came straight back to my sending account. I have received no information form tsb as to what has gone on. my concern now is that they might say I have gone over my overdraft and are not paying anything into the account add on loads of charges and send it straight to a DCA. Has this happened to anyone else. Thanks Fernal
  3. Hi Was having a chat with a friend of mine who is in debt. He has had these debts for over ten years. Last year he recieved some letters form a DCA and he started to make payments to them. He made no payments for over eight years. Would he still be able to claim he does not have to pay these anymore or because he has started paying does the six years start again. Thanks Fernal
  4. Hi Yup i got one of those aswell, mine stated that they are reducing the debt to the original amount. I already have there bank details so i am going to pay the original amount and keep this email of proof of what i owe to them.
  5. hi I had the same problem with QQ. They do accept paypal payments which i used, i also got six months out of them by agreeing to their 3 month plan, paying the first month then reduced paymant by half each month. When they emailed me i just replied i will make it up next month. Fernal
  6. I think i might have messed up here so any advice would be helpful. i had a loan with this lot sometime ago, i defaulted and as most people on here i did try to setup a repayment plan with minicredit but to with no luck. I dont mind paying off what i owe but i am not going to pay there silly charges. Any way after about six months i got a call from a DCA requesting payment for this debt. when they told me how much i owe i disputed this and told them how much i am going to pay in total and i will pay £40 pm untill i reach this figure. then they can take me to court. my question is would this go against me as i have been paying something or could i still fight them in court when the time comes. thanks Fernal
  7. I found these 3 easy to deal with. PDUK and lending stream agreed straight. PDEX wanted a I&E form so they got income = ******* outgoings =******* money spare = what i offered all three added no extras only what was owed and one month interest. I found that PDEX did phone my place of work to ask for me but did not disclose anything to my employer. You should be fine as long as what you offer is resonable. As with all PDL companys contact them first request in writting only and keep in touch, then they have no need to contact employer. Fernal

  11. Hi I am hopeing someone can advise on the following. Had a mnba virgin cc for a few years and built up a debt of around £9000. last year was struggling with loans and other debts and asked mnba to accept token payments for six months. they refused but i still logged onto there website and paid £1 every month. every month got letter stated i need to pay the missed paymants as these were now at 6 it was inpossible. then got termination letter in month 7 , went to log into site to make payment of £180 usual amount as the six months were up but could not login. was told to phone them which i did and they gave me there bank details to make payments. following this i thought , because i asked for 6 months token payments and they refused now they are not going to get the full monthly payment of £180 but £100 instead which i have been paying for about the last 6 months. my questions are as follows how can i find out what i owe, i do not know if interest is still being charged and what the balance is. i get no letters from mnba and i can not login into there site. im affraid to contact them incase i might rock the boat and they start court proceddings. also i have decided to increase my monthly payment to £200 as this will mean the debt will be cleared in about 4 years. will mnba continue to accept this or will at some stage i get a letter saying they have sold the debt or are taking me to court. any responses will be appreciated fernal
  12. Hi Dont know about personal cheques but they do accept paypal. I used this to repay my loan and had no problems doing so , no charges or fees and no extra money taken. Fernal

    MNBA questions

Thanks both yes i am looking at overlimit and late payment charges, from a 11000 amount started about 6 years ago i dont think i was ever on time or under limit. (me know me bad but thats the debt spirel) i know its 14 days but i saw something on a post here about the ukmail being 2 days to arrive so the days to rectify are only 12. not trying to be picky but i am disgusted with the treatment from mnba, i wish to pay this off but just cant belive they defaulted me after asking for token payments for six months which were half of the monthly amount. fernal
  14. Hi darren i am new to this debt thingie but here goes no to your questions at first i sent emails to all payday loans that i defaulted on the standered letter reguarding only contact me by email. since then i have actually found it enjoyable regaurding phone calls, i am strong willed and like a good argument on the phone with them. some like pdex i find resonable to deal with and i dont mind them phoning me. otheres i love the good old argument on the phone , you cant beat it when they hang up on you and you havent abused them just bored them to death. since defaulting they have never phoned me at home only work and not often i must say, they soon get fed up.
  15. Hi Darren I did on my first email, but as part of my job is to recive phone calls from the public and often i am alone in my office i am lucky that it wont effect my job. fernal
