  1. Am sending the SAR and CCA request later this week and will see what they come back with.
  2. It is mainly charges, hence why I was hoping to claim them back from the OC.
  3. Approximately two or three years ago Last payment was 6 to 8 months ago
  4. Thanks BankFodder and DX. The account has only just been sold so a way off yet from anything happening. On one of her statements it has two £12.00 fees for late payment and letter charges, just think that the two together are excessive. My Wife told me that she had a phone call from Littlewoods and the agent said that if she brings her account up to date then some charges would be refunded but no name was taken by her, she cannot remember when the phone call etc. Will send Lowells a CCA request Will also get a SAR running to Littlewoods Kind Regards Stigman
  5. Hi Everyone, My Wife (who has mental health issues) came to me yesterday and produced letters that her Littlewoods Account has been sold to Lowells which I was unaware of how bad things had got, the money that was going supposed to go to Littlewoods, she had been spending on herself and it is also my fault for not checking but what's done is done. I understand that I have been here for many many years but recently have been busy with work and other outside interests and have not followed or kept up to date with all of the latest changes. My main question is that from what statements I have seen is that they have a lot of £12.00 charges on. Can these charges still be reclaimed from Littlewoods? I have searched and read to no avail, and I cannot find a link in the CAG Library from reclaiming charges either. Kind Regards Stigman
  6. Thanks @dx100uk The letters will be personally addressed to you so you need not worry about that. Stigman
  7. Socky, The Police will not be called but as you gave them your address then you can expect a letter to come through the post with a stupid amount citing the shops security costs, these you can safely ignore. The letters look personal because the templates have pre-formatted spaces for your name to be inserted. Have a read around the forums on this and you will see others who have been in the same position as yourself and the advise is consistent to ignore any letters. If you get any letters through and are concerned, please update this thread by scanning in, remove all personal identifiers and upload for others to comment on. Speak to your GP as HoneyBee13 advised and put this behind you. Stigman
  8. Wait until you hear back from Cabot. If they supply any paperwork, scan in, remove all your personal identifiers and upload. Stigman
  9. You need to ask for a breakdown of figures of how the Council came to their decision. Once received you can ask the Council to review, make sure you point out the errors in plain childproof English as Council workers are not employed for their intelligence! and if not ask them for a deadlock/final decision letter to take to the independent tribunal. 10. Hi, The true experts in this field will be along as soon as they are free. As it is the Friday and leading into the weekend, responses may be slow as everyone is with families etc. The Council should have provided you with a breakdown of the financials and how they reached their decision. The letter should state that you can take it to an independent tribunal but await others who are more knowledgeable. Your UC online statement should also show how much your are paid for your Housing Benefit. I am replying because we are having the exact same issue as yourself with our local Council. Stigman
  11. I updated our details as we recently moved (May this year) with a certain price comparison website that uses a small mongoose as well as his servant and family as their advertising. I had not connected the two and have had no searches by anyone on my credit reports that I receive. Stigman
  12. To update the op and this thread. I tried to call HSBC only to be on hold for 30 minutes and then cut off Today, I went into HSBC, the letter is from HSBC, the letter is genuine and the guy even showed me a copy of the same letter addressed to me on his tablet. He was shocked that the telephone number comes up as a scam number in Google searches but I also pointed out that the number is not listed in HSBC's own phone book in their help section. He had no comment on how they found my new address, nor the reason as to why. I will now be sending HSBC a SAR request and want to know more. Stigman
  13. My letter and Cheque is attached. I have searched like Listless the addresses both on the Cheque, and the Business Centre and these comes back as correct for HSBC. Even the FCA number in the small print on page two is correct. The pages have a good quality feel to them, not something you would expect from a scam. Just so weird that the telephone number that they ask you to call is not only on spam lists but also not showing on HSBC's own Phonebook list in their help section. I will be phoning HSBC tomorrow and asking them directly. Stigman HSBC Cheques CAG.pdf
  14. Just to update this thread for the op. I have received the same letter with a cheque for £25, the letter had my correct A/C Numbers on as well. The letter is vague as all it states is that they have reviewed their collections and recoveries departments and that it did not meet the standard that they expect. The letter does not say what had gone wrong or where, what standards had failed and I will now be following up on this. This stems from our Accounts from 2008 btw and we continuously thought with HSBC before it got to the collections stage so they have now opened up more questions that I want answers to. HSBC found my new address, I did not give HSBC my latest address as I had postal redirection and the Accounts have been statute barred for nearly 6 years now. Stigman
