  1. BazzaS, I don't have individual numbers for the bottles, but it certainly is my understanding that I own specific bottles and that is what the invoices say. I certainly think he was honourable at the start but the business came undone. As for storage, I was storing them under his account so there was no fees, but this is also where the problem lies. I have contacted the liquidator, they want a week or so to look into it. Depending on what they come back with I may have to look at some professional advice. Thanks for the links and taking the time to reply everyone. Peter
  2. Hi All, A few years ago I purchased approximately 10k if investment wine. The portfolio has done pretty well and is now worth at least £12k. The problem is, I went to contact the broker the other day to look into selling it all up and he has disappeared along with the wine. A little search shows he there was an insolvency winding up order 5th Feb 2016 and he's not answering any calls or messages. He's changed his surname on social media and hasn't been active in some time. Depressingly he was an old friend. I'm sure I can find him if I try hard enough but is there anything I can do once I track him down? If he wound up the company with that stock as assets, surely he has acted fraudulently? Could the same be said if he sold the stock in an attempt to bail out the company prior to the winding up order? If so, I would like to pursue that avenue. The family has money and would likely bail him out if threatened with a criminal offence. Any help, advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Thanks Andy, On all the threads I have searched on this I can't find anything advising the next cause of action once a Judgement has passed 6 years. Can anyone suggest what I should say to get them off my back?
  4. Hi Andy, The last payment, I have no idea or records. I wasn't aware there was a problem until now. The Last judgement was 09/09/08. Everyone, firstly, do Arrow Global or Rossendales need to be the OC for them to be right? Secondly, if they are the OC, how to I tell them to go stick it as any judge would kick it out for being too late?
  5. Sorry Typo, it was 2008 so still 6 years. I've written requesting proof and stating again that I don't recognise the debt. I can't find any record of it (probably because its over 6 years old and no longer on the register?) So lets let them do the work! Frankly I'd like to know what this is all about but mostly I'd like them to go away. I'll post details of any reply. Thanks everyone.
  6. Ford thanks for your replies! For some reason I can't access my credit score with any of the major agencies. They all come back with an error asking me to call. Regarding more details, I honestly don't know. Apparently its to do with mobile phone contract from circa 2004. I don't recall any issues or disputes and I don't have any paperwork from back then.
  7. Trustonline shows nothing registered but it only seems to search for my current address. Would something at a past address show up? Thanks!
  8. Hello all, I recently received several letters from Rossendales Collect regarding a debt with Arrow Global. Firstly I honestly don't know what its for but being that its so old I just sent back the Statute Barred letter and stated that I did not recognise any debt anyway. I then received a letter stating:- We have liaised with our client which have confirmed you had a judgment placed on the account by ***** on 09/09/2009, Case Number xxxxxx therefore cannot be considered statute barred. I know nothing about this judgement, is there any way I can confirm that it exists? I know there is a lot of dispute about judgements being statute barred after 6 years and every thread on the subject I've found falls into debate and offers little advice for further action. Any ideas where I should go from here? Thanks everyone, I love this site its been very helpful over the years.
  9. Well its taken six months but I finally have contact again (so much for getting in touch in five working days). After putting the account on hold it was apparently passed to an account handler who was then demoted back to the call centre, did no further work on it and refused to get back to me. One day the case got marked as resolved (still with the wrong meter serial number) and I got a bill. At the same time as the bill, and before the due date on the bill I got a phone call from a debt collection agency. Two weeks and several hours on the phone later I am again making progress. Please see emails below... -------------------------- Thank you for your prompt email. Based on the readings and photos you have provided I have worked out and average usage between March and October of 5.59 units per day. I have used this in the calculation to work out a new start meter readings which I wish to agree with you as we have no actual reading. Working back 2 and half years to 2008 when the account opened it gives a start reading of 64560 which is a difference of 5,100 units. To put this in to more perspective at the moment we are charging you for almost 16,000 units which as you can clearly see is quite a difference and would mean a large difference in cost. If you are happy with this calculation and you wish for me to proceed with the process please let me know ASAP and I will contact the meter operators to start updating the systems. Thank you for your time. --------------------------- And the email he is replying to:- ----------- Dear xxxxxxxxx, Further to our phone conversation earlier today please find attached three photographs of my electricity meter. The file names refer to the date and time the photo's were taken. The dates and readings are:- 68486 - 31/03/10 69312 - 16/08/10 69660 - 15/10/10 The meter serial number is:- xxxxxxxxxxxxx Regards, ------------------------- So any advice on how to reply to this? Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello all, I have an interesting email here from BG sent to me after I had sent photo's of my meter. It has taken six months after the problem was discovered to get to the point where dialogue has been established:- -------------------------- Thank you for your prompt email. Can they actually bill me when meter readings do not seem to exist before 31/03/10. Before this, they had the wrong meter serial number associated with my account (some shop the other side of london!) Fortunately they also messed up the billing so badly that I wasn't being sent bills in this period I just got a bill one day for £2k and have been trying to sort it out ever since. So any advice on how to reply to this? Thanks in advance.
  11. Reposted here after advice on other thread:- Hello all, A client of mine who owes me £2730 and my small Ltd company £5500 seems about to go bust. I am a freelancer who has gone Ltd, he owes me from before I went Ltd and after. He also owes countless other freelancers, some of them over £5k but most about £1.5k. None of us have seen any money in months and he has been paid for the events we worked on. As far as anyone can see he has no source of income and will be bust when his rent and rates are for payment in December. What he does have is assets. We would be happy to take some of these and start our own hire operation so we can continue to work and slowly pay everyone back (long term solution as he will leave a big gap in our diaries). Payment would obviously be preferable, he clearly does not have the funds though and I suspect he is close to insolvent. Having been on the receiving end of an insolvent company in administration before (I didn't see a penny of £4k) I suspect if we don't do something before he goes under allot of freelancers won't get paid. There is also the possibility he will try to sign the assets over to someone else before he goes bust. There seems to be quite a complex company structure in place. I have spoken to the union BECTU and they gave a very bleak image, saying that everyone would have to go to the small claims court and he would probably be bust before it got anywhere. That and they were not willing to get involved in any kind of joint action as not everyone is a member. Do we have any options here? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice.

  13. The lack of bills stops everyone there in their tracks when ever its mentioned. Nobody can give me an answer and I've been asking the question on every phone call with them since November, either they don't know or wont tell me.
  14. Strangely, its an old South London Mansion Block with an old, wheel style meter. How they have managed to c0(k this us is beyond me!
  15. I just had the council round so I took the opportunity. I've done the burn test and figured out which meter is mine. The serial number and reading seemed to cause a hell of allot of confusion at BG. With that information they have put a stop on the account (not going to send me any red letters or cut me off) and will contact me in five working days. (oh any they actually admitted something had gone drastically wrong for the first time to date) The one year thing is interesting and will be useful information when the time comes!! Thanks for that Nottslad.
