  1. Just an idea with all your issues have you tried using talktalk forums @ TalkTalk Members I find that although it takes longer to deal with issues that 9 times out of ten the uk staff that work the boards are able to help you alot better than talk talks call centres.
  2. This company are a joke thhave less than 2 weeks left to ansmer the letter sent by the finanical ombudsman on my behalf. As stated in another thrad durring thier so call system problems i applied for a loan which i never got. But they still took repayment of it. Watch this space because i will taking them to small claims if no reply is had in said 2 weeks.
  3. Just look for peoples thoughts on thios and wether you think talktalk are missing selling this package: As you all know TalkTalk Pro was being tested with certain customers however the decision has now been made to make it available to existing customers as the following package: Upto 24Mb Broadband Upto 1Mb Upload Unlimted downloads (fair usage policy) Free "N" router (New customers only, existing customer can purchase the router for £30) Dedicated forum area Tuneup Kit (iPlate) Unlimted UK anytime calls Inclusive 0870/0845 calls Cheaper calls to mobiles (6.85ppm + connection fee) You can also add the normal boosts to your tariff if needed. Tariff + Line Rental = £26.24 Connection Fee = £29.99 (Existing customer with a TalkTalk broadband service will not be charged a connection fee) The above will be available to existing customers from the 12th October. Let me know if you have any questions. ok you see it says unlimited subject to fair usage..... this therm used for said policy exactly the same for the essentails package that advertised as having a download allowence of 40gig 6.3You acknowledge that the Service is provided to other users and we owe a duty to them as a whole to preserve our Network integrity and to avoid Network degradation. If, in our reasonable opinion, we consider it necessary to maintain our Network integrity or prevent Network degradation we may change your Services, (including without limitation, your Transmission Speed if you are a Broadband Service Customer) or manage your use of, or access to our Broadband Service as we see fit in the circumstances. These reasons include but are not limited to, any circumstances where you are running an application or program that places excessive bandwidth demands on the Broadband Service for continued periods. For the reasons set out above we have also applied a fixed limit or a cap (which is currently 40 ‘gigabytes’) to the amount of data that you may download and/or upload. We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, amend this limit and/or, impose a further limit on your usage capacity if your usage is affecting or may affect, other users’ enjoyment of the Service. We may amend this limit in accordance with the terms of our Fair Use Policy and we will always endeavour to act reasonably when exercising our discretion in this regard. this package is no diffrent except for the mobile calls to the current essentail package is this yet another miss sell from talktalk?
  4. I finally lost it friday morning an emailed The chief exc. Ive now had 3 managers from his office now called me. Ive finally got an explination to my questions about speeds. Seems that the speed i get and the speed i sync at are 2 diffrent thngs. Its the sync speed they advertise! Talk talk have placed my line onto a more agressive line (what ever that means) This is now giving me a 16meg conection with the speed boost. Quite happy with that. As for the speed boost ive now got that free for 5 months. So Get an email off to Charles Dunstan seems to do the trick. his email is [email protected]
  5. Im so glad im not the only one thats having issues with talktalk customer service. Ive been with talktalk for about 6 months and up and till last month i was very happy. I had a speed boost placed on my line enabling me to get just over a 12 meg conection, However ive needed to streamline so i canceled the boost. I now find my speed at 6.5 meg instead of the advertised 8meg. Talktalk now inist i am to far away from the exchange to get 8meg!! They cant explain to me though when i pay them £4 extra they can give me 12meg. Please correct me if im wrong but if i can have 12meg sureley 8meg isnt dificult?? And the opther excuse was that with the boost talktalk provide my broadband and without it bt do. Is this just strange or am i missing something here to? I have tried phoning if im lucking i actually get someone i can understand because they are not eatting their head set or chewing gum!!! I even went to carphone warehouse to be told that talktalk is now now part of them and seperate company. Something i didnt no.
  6. Really well as others have said a landline would be good. Oh and a name.
  7. I will keep everyone updated as to whats happening i can this being a long drawn out issue. But im like a dog with a baone. Im so sure if the shoe was on the other foot and i owed them i wouldnt hear the end of it. Also next time i speak to the fo i will ask if they can tell me how many complaints have been filed against them.
  8. I have just had a very intresting chat with the Financial Ombudsman . They have taken my complaint and are dealing with it. However capital finance have 8 weeks in which to reply until the next xtage can be taken up. At the 8 week stage if there has been no joy then the matter could (and will be if i have anything to say about it) be looked at as fraud. I really suggest that everyone does this. Its got to the point now here my emails are being bounced back. Normally i wouldnt get so worked up over something like this but i have been made redundant and every penny counts right now.

  10. no afraid not they owe me money. I have a nasty feeling this company has gone belly up. I have an appointment with my ban k to get my money back. Hbos are treating it as a fraud as i have all emails from stating they will refund and its thier mistake. Ive just found thier contact page is still active: http://www.capitalfinanceone.com/contact.php
  11. Well all their systems are up and working. But still no refund. I no its on 22.70 but not sure now what to do. Any ideas and has anyones else managed to get a refund
  12. Well im still waiting for my refund of 22.70 its really annoying. No one ever answers. I think im going to start charging a daily intrest rate of 2000% And ive notice a chage in their number this new number actually makes them money the whole time your on the phone. Is this compay registered with the fas or anyone like that?
  13. Wish i had of read this before i applied for a loan with this company on the 12 August 2009. I was informed i would get my loan and i should have it within 48 hours which never arrived. On speaking with someone which took several attempts as no one answered, i was told they where having tech issues, how ever this would be sorted soon. A week alter still no loan or update so i emailed to be told there was no time scale for this issue to be fixed, they gave me the option to cancel my loan which i did, with full email confirmation from them. Imagine my suprise when my bank informs me that Capital one finance have taken a payment of £22.10. I emailed Capital one Finance who i must say replied within 2 hours!! They informed me this was a error thier part however they couldnt refund this amount at present because they where still having tech difficulties!!! How do i get my money back??
