  1. I have been making repayments to Lowell with regards to the 8 accounts they have. I haven't missed any payments since 2016 and I have been doing really well to try and clear these debts. Unfortunately I was made redundant last week when the company I was working for went into administration suddenly. I logged into my online account with Lowell to try and lower my payments from £5 per month. The online service would not let me do this so I called Lowell, explained my situation and they say they cannot accept less than £5 per month. They have put my account on hold for 60 days but refuse to accept less than £5 per month per account. What is the minimum I can pay?

  4. Thank you for your quick reply. How do I find out who the administrators are?
  5. My husband had a secured loan with welcome finance many years ago which he has since paid off. I believe it was paid in full 2015/16. He did do a ppi reclaim which shortened the term of the loan which enabled him to pay it off quicker. He is now trying to remortgage the house but the mortgage advisor has found that Welcome Finance did not remove the charge from the land registry. My husband contacted land registry who told him they can remove the charge if he provides the letter from Welcome Finance. They did say that they can see the balance is zero but they need the letter. We are trying to find the letter to say it was paid off but so far we cannot find it. The conveyancing solicitor say they can get it removed but it will cost almost £300. Can anyone help as I know Welcome Finance no longer exist.
  6. Defence has now been filed online. Still no reply from Lowell.

  9. My hubby received a claim form from Northampton from Lowell Solicitors regarding an old Sky account. Particulars are as follows. 1 - The Defendant entered into an agreement with sky uk limited under the account reference REF NUMBER ('the agreement'). 2 - The Defendant failed to maintain the required payments and the service was terminated. 3 - The agreement was later assigned to the Claimant on 23/04/19 and notice given to the Defendant. 4 - Despite repeated requests for payment, the sum of £xxx remains due and outstanding. I have already sent a Cpr request and a CCA request. They replied with a copy Notice of Assignment dated in May from Sky and a copy of a letter from Lowell introducing themselves and inviting contact to pay them. The covering letter states that this alleged debt relates to a former telecommunications matter not regulated by the Consumer Credit Act. They say they have requested the relevant documents from their client but are unable to comment on a timeframe of when they can provide them. Once they receive the documents they will be in contact. The claim was issued on the 1st of October. I know I should have added all this on here at an earlier date but unfortunately have been working away. I need some help preparing a holding defence.
  10. I have still not received a reply regarding my CCA request. I know that it is stayed by the court now. How do I get it discontinued?
  11. Defence is now submitted. I received a letter from Cabot in reply to my CCA request and they state they do not have a copy of the agreement. They are asking me to get in contact with them to make a payment plan.
  12. the defence I have posted in 15 is ok to be submitted? In reply to your question Andyorch yes I have.
  13. I did make a couple of changes. The only difference is that the Particulars of claim are only one paragraph so I will have to change points 3 and 4 for this.
