  1. Not sure, I've not heard from them in a while. (I say that and I'll get a letter from them tomorrow...) Not sure on the identity theft. Nothing has pointed to it. Not that I have a clue as to how to identify it. Though what had my alarms ringing on the Red/3g thing was I'd never had anything to do with 3g at the new address where I lived since I had to move house a couple of years back. If I loose a bank card it's cancelled asap and any letters I get go through the shredder after I know I don't want it any more.
  2. If they start up their harrasement I will. They've backed off since I got ratty over the emails and they said they'd taken my number off the system.
  3. I haven't heard anything from them since I emailed them about the harrasement. Repeatedly since the phonecalls didn't help. And apparently the letter I posted never arrived. I had to get real ratty with them to get it through their thick skulls that I didn't have an account with them.
  4. Hello, Sorry to hear about your trouble with ATOS. I had exactly the same problem with them and having my money stopped. I have nerve problems in my arms/legs and arthritis in my back and knee's and a tendon problem with my right hand yet I didn't get a single point myself. First thing to do is call up ESA and ask for the forms for an appeal. Remember you only have a month to ask for it. Also ask for a copy of the report the doctor gave to DWP to see exactly what they put. When I got mine I was not so mildly surprised at the lies that were on the report by the doctor. Which is another thing you could add to the appeal form. On mine it says I can kneel and squat fine which I can't and there were questions answered that he never asked me. I mentioned this on my appeal form so they could see what a liar the "doctor" was and why I disagreed with the decision. I don't know if you can do what I did and that is to attach letters/reports from your doctor to the appeal form when you do get it. Don't let them beat you. While appealing the decision you should get some money off of ESA. I hope that helps some. If not sorry about wasting your time.
  5. Thanks for the replies. I've also now got an ESA Medical tomorrow with ATOS (Yey isn't that going to be fun.... Especially since they've cancelled on me once when I had already been in the waiting room half an hour already.) Anyway, can/will they take the ATOS medical into consideration if I put an appeal to DLA. Even though it's not nothing to do with DLA and it's ESA it's all still part of the DWP...when they get the report that is. Can they use this? Thanks again.
  6. Hi, I put in a claim for DLA on the 8th of May this year due to the fact that I have several problems that restrict my mobility and balance. All of which came on since around November last year. I received a letter dated the 29th of July, today saying I am not eligable for any of the components of DLA. I have two dessicated discs in my lumbar region and facet joint disease in the same area which was diagnosed when I had a MRI scan of my back after the Back Specialist I see up the local hospital was examining my back when I was sent up there for physio by my GP and I nearly went through the roof with how much it hurt. I have a copy of the MRI report which states this problem. I also see a Neurologist about poly neuropathy which the cause of at this time is unknown but I have had several tests to find out the cause including, MRIs, Blood Test, Nerve Conductivity Tests repeatedly, all which havent shown the cause yet except for the blood tests showing a lack of B12 in my body which now means every 3 months I get an injections of the vitamin from the nurse at my GPs. I've also had a Lumbar Puncture and a sural nerve biopsy to try and figure out what the cause of the neuropathy is. I haven't received the results of these tests yet but I told the DLA that they were coming but apparently they couldn't wait on them. I also have alot of trouble with my right hand now. I can't write for more than 5 minutes without my hand seizing up which means cooking a meal is fun as is cleaning and washing up. I have a diagnosis for my hand not including the neuropathy which doesn't help matters. I've been told by the Orthapaedic Consultant who I see who specialises in hand/arm problems that it is DeQurvains Syndrome. I have tried everything to get this treated, I've worn splits, had a cortisone injection which made no difference except for my hand/wrist to hurt for 7 days non stop. Apparently the decision maker made the decision that I can get up and down the stairs fine in my own time. Which is wrong I have to use either the stairlift if I am at home or if I'm out and there is a lift avaliable use that. If no lift is avaliable I am unable to get to where I am supposed to go. Walking is a task an a half since my back hurts when I walk and I cant walk for long because of the neuropathy in my legs which makes them feel numb and my balance is affected. I used to be able to walk to the bus stop to get into town. Now I have to get a taxi since walking to the bus stop which is a 5 minute walk for healthy people takes me about 25 to 35 minutes now. Apparently they contacted my neurologist and my GP yet they didn't seem to be bothered to contact the Back Specialist I see up the same hospital. I only know this since they had me nag the both of them to get the letter to them faster when my Neurologist took a month to reply to their letter. I also have asthma and my right kneecap likes to wander off in it's own direction at times (aka Patellofemoral Maltracking) which means it swells up and hurts some days worse than others. I mentioned all this in my claim yet I was still turned down. I should mention I never once saw a DLA doctor to talk about this. I also use a stick to help me walk now as I can't walk far without it as I look like a drunk when I do. My balance is messed up since I can't feel my feet properly. Can I appeal against the decision or is it not worth the trouble. Thanks in advance for any help.
  7. Update... Got a letter from Lowells this morning saying if I don't contact them by 8th of February they'll foward the debt to Red. Right... Bit late there mate. The letter was supposedly written on the 29th January. I think the post monkeys got confused when sending this one out. I sent an email asking what they were playing at. Going to be amused to see what I get back. Still waiting on a reply from the letter I semt to Red...
  8. Well... gotta give em something other to do than sending out threat-o-grams everyday. XD Then again if what my poking around has turned up is true I doubt the "Leeds Losers" will even be able to manage that properly. XD Still the Prove it letter is getting posted this afternoon as soon as I fire up the desktop and manage to hobble over to the desk. Gotta love back problems
  9. Thanks. Yeah, no signing or they'll put their "brilliant" photoshopping skills to use. Right?
  10. Hi, This morning I received a letter from Red claiming I owe 3g Mobile £729.51. The thing is I've only ever had a 3g pay as you go mobile and the way my name is written on the letter has sent alarm bells ringing since I don't know how they got my middle initial since I never use it in any communications. The only thing that I have that has my name written on it like it is on this letter is my debit card. The only contract phone I have is with Orange and except for this months bill it's all up to date. It says as I have failed to settle my outstanding balance. This is the first letter I have received from them. What makes me laugh is they say if they do not hear from me by 18/02/09 then they will have to use other recovery methods. They apparently sent the letter out on the 13/02/09. And it's now the 19th. How am I...if I do... supposed to contact these people on that date? Use a flippen Delorean and go back a week and contact them? I don't need this mess around with how my health has been getting worse over the last 6 months. I'm reduced to laying in bed most of the day since my back and legs have pratically died on me and I swear I'm going to be attracting metal objects soon with the amount of MRI's I've had. My Neurologist doesn't know what's wrong with me yet and I really don't need this while going through blood tests, EMGs, MRI's and Nerve Biopsy's. Another letter also arrived today for my brother from Red saying he also owed 3g money. Something doesn't smell right here. Two letters on the same day from the same company for the same thing? Any help in dealing with these people would be appreciated.
  11. OKay! Will do as soon as I look it up. Not yet. I've bandaged it up to give it as much support as I can at the moment until I can get back down there to get it re x-rayed today. I still can't figure out how they messed up with how often I was down in the plaster room. The Plaster Nurses know me by name now without looking at my file! All they had to do was ask them.
  12. On the 29th of December I went up the Luton and Dunstable Hospital A&E and I was told I had two fractures in my right hand. One at the base of my thumb which was extremely swollen and I was unable to bend it at all and I also had a scaphoid fracture which is also near the base of my thumb so I think that added to the swelling of my hand which was ballooned. So far this is the only X-ray I've had of my right hand. I was also sent for an MRI of said right hand. Due to the accident I had I was also told to get my left hand checked due to the swelling which had a soft tissue injury which doesn't really effect me. This was also X-rayed. I had my right hand put in plaster which in the two and a half weeks I had it on was helping greatly. The swelling went down so much I had to have the cast changed 4 times. I went back to fracture clinic last tuesday and saw someone who was arrogant, rude and took my arm out of plaster and said it was a soft tissue injury and that there was nothing that wrong with it after pulling it about so much I was in tears due to the pain (it takes alot to get that out of me since I've walked around with a fractured wrist for a week and not been bothered about it before going to get it looked at) and I don't need plaster just a horrible blue splint. And it would take a week to heal completely. I should also note that when I spoke to the head consultants secretary that there had been alot of complaints about this "doctor". Since then my arm has swollen up even more that before it was in plaster and I've been in agony but they have said there is nothing they can do since it's a soft tissue injury. Then I get told today that they haven't been looking at the x-ray of my right wrist... but my left which is pratically healed. My right still hurts like hell and I'm taking painkillers like sweets here. I'm also getting lightheaded because of the pain. Is there anything I can do about this stupidity of looking at the wrong x-rays and leaving me in pain and the way I was treated by the "doctor" I saw in fracture clinic.. which I should note has a habit of having a 2hour witing time... Your appointment could be at 10.30 like mine was last tuesday but I didn't get seen until 12.45.. the people in the waiting room were nearly ready to riot... So any help in what I could do about this would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. I brought a laptop from them about 2 years ago and after a year for some reason the DVD drive died. It wouldn't read CD's or DVD's and in the end it vanished from the menu on My Computer. So I took it into the store to get it sent off for repair. Couple of days later I get a phone call from the staff. "It's repaired! Come and get it!" I get it home and it turns out the "manager" had tried reinstalling windows on top of windows completely messing up the laptop and making it a complete and utter brick. I should have seen this as the first warning sign. After a fight I finally got another new laptop out of them. Another HP just the next model up. I get that home and 5 minutes after it comes out of the box it freezes. Oh yeah good sign there. It wasn't to bad so I basically ignored it after I found a way around the freezing issue for a while. (which involved task manager and setting things to different processors) After a slight accident with the power lead I phoned up the manager to ask if he could contact HP to get a new power lead for me but he said he wouldn't unless I forked over £120 cash. NO. I eventually found the number for HP and phoned them myself and they sent it out for free. Also made a complaint to the head office. A Week later that manager and most of his staff were gone. I should have thought that was it but it wasn't. On the 2nd July I finally gave in and sent the laptop in for repair for the freezing issue since it was getting rediculous. Plus I needed a key repaired from an attack of hyperactive kitten that broke the shift key. Other than that there was nothing wrong with the laptop. They told me it would be a couple of weeks. I finally got the thing back on the 15th September. In worse condition than it went out in. The only thing fixed was the broken key. It still froze, the battery now drained dry in under 15 minutes, I was getting windows errors all over the place from what was supposedly a new install when it wasn't. They had split the power lead as well so the inside was showing. I sent it back to the store on the 18th September and I'm still waiting for it back now. This is getting redicoulous. especially since in the time it was at the "repair" center it was finished being paid for.
