Thanks for your post, not sure why they didnt accept my offer in the first place,when called again differant guy and nicer and talked sense and it all sorted now, not changing over now and sticking with EDF,but customer services need a little kick up the ass going by my first call, but thumbs up to second guy to keep me with EDF. Hi all, I have a query that am hoping you can help me with. A having some financial problems with going form full time to part time in my job and a little behind on my gas bill with EDF. They have threatened to put a prepaid meter in if I don’t pay all bill which I can not afford to do all at once and am doing bit by bit , my questions is can they just do that or do they have to go to court to get it enforced? Or can they just out this outside my house? I have changed gas and electric to another supplier which is cheaper and waiting to go across. Any info would be appreciated. Tiggs. Hi, I know form my experiences with the tribunal and how the system work, if you girlfriend has been ill through stress at work and has expressed this at the meeting and they terminated her employment, I would say yes dam right she has a case. To start with you have to put down on letter that you are putting in a ‘grievance letter’ and make sure you write down everything that has gone on as this letter is one of the main paper work in your case, if you fail to put down everything and remember later on in court it wont really count as they will say ‘ why didn’t you put this in your grievance letter’, also how the stress made her physical feel ECT , also make sure you state in the letter that all ‘correspondence ‘ is via letter not verbal as its your word against there’s in court which does not really hold up, also tell them they have 28 days to respond to your letter before you take legal action. The problem with tribunal is there are time frames & rules and if they are not followed correctly your case will be thrown out to re start again, yes its frustrating but the law is ****, & more so for those who suffer and want justice. Your gf has her sick notes and docs to back her up which is great case. If her ex employer does not respond in the time frame then go to the next level and seen legal advice or contact ‘ACAS’ as they will gild you to the next level. You have up to 3 months to put your paper work in & make sure you send the letter to the right place and they have to sign for it once received which I believe costs £ 1. Hope this helps a little.

Hi, After reading your post i felt i had to post with going through tribunal myself for sexual harrasment. My advise to you is, really think before you put a case forward, its not stright forward as people make out, when i first started with my case i went to 'ACAS 'and they were great and guided me through the first lot of paper work and after that i went and got legal adivse and went with a no win no fee with my laywer firm who handled my divorce. You have 3 months to get your paper work in and after that you wont stand a chance to go to court, can you not move solictors as if she dragging her feet now what she going to eb like when you go to court...? i was very lucky that i had a fantastic firm who has stuck by me and was great in all aspects with my case, its stressing and the law is fustrating i found and the person who has done wrong has more rights then you, for me i made the right choice and dont regret taking his sorry ass to court, after 2.5 years of hearings and his ass dragging things out, i won all 3 court cases but he wont pay up and i have just made him and his company bankrupt and one way or another i will get my money, as i dont go through all that for nothing. My advice is, change solictors and move on with things if this is the path you think you should take. Hope this helps, sorry if long winded.
