  1. I am hoping someone could offer some advice, it is a little complicated and will try my best to explain. I moved to an address in Jan 2009 and left April 2014, during that time I had EON energy. I have not used then since. I checked my credit files today (first time in years) and found it was showing three accounts from E-ON - two in default but settled, and one still running (ALL GREEN) 1. Public Utility from Eon Uk Plc (I) / XXXXXYYYY Account Opened June 2012 and closed October 2013. Its all green until October 2012 where it says I had (5) missed payments and then November where it states (6) missed payments and then December a default notice. It then says settled October 2013. I admit I had a couple of missed direct debits during that time and was on a monthly payment plan and quarterly bills. they are lying about 5 and six missed payments and issued a default for two missed payments which are prepayments before the bill. They then did this again 2. Public Utility from Eon Uk Plc (I) / XXXXXYYYY (the 4 Y are different account numbers) Account Opened = October 2013 and settled December 2014 Its all green until March 2014 where it says (5) missed payments, April (6) missed payments and then a “default” in May 2014. I have emails for March that payments were made - where the credit file says that are missed. My final bill was generated April 2014. I paid £65 in March and April as part of a per month basis - but on my credit file that marked as unpaid (5). And (6) unpaid. I then did not pay as I raised a complaint - nothing happened. After a while, a debt collection agency chased in December 2014, and I paid them the £XXX outstanding, and it all went away. Until today. Then and this is strange, they opened a new account when I no longer lived in the property. I assumed this was a fraud from a new person in the property. 3. Public Utility from Eon Uk Plc (I) / XXXXXYYYY opened December 2014 and still open today!!!! I have not lived at the address since April 2014! No missed payments - all green! I called up customer service today (2.5-hour phone call) and was told I only have one account with them, and this has an outstanding balance of £XXX!!! How would I like to pay it! Not helpful at all. I am now expected to dig through 3-year-old bank statements to find the final payment - even though my credit files says it was paid in December 2014 and SETTLED. They are now saying this settled is a mistake with Equifax. Their EON billing system does not make mistakes. During this time I have heard nothing from EON or agents, no one chasing me and they had my new address and email details. I guess have two issues. 1. How EON have issued default notices on my account - does this follow any law / process at all ? I understood that default notices were issued between 3-6 months of missed payments under the credit consumer act? Is an energy supplier under the credit consumer act? If you came to some agreement, you could hold off the default or your account is terminated and you have to pay your balance. In this case, none of this happened, I never got a default notice warning letter etc. Multiple defaults for which is the same account. 2. I have a settled account, and now saying they are going to un-settle it unless I can prove I made a payment in the next seven days from 3 years ago and issue a NEW default notice on the account they created in December 2014 when i was not even at the property!. Am i screwed unless I find the payment? Yes, I had a couple of late DD payment notices and not saying I am at not totally at fault. Life is hard sometimes, and we try our best, but this just seems unreasonable and no way as harsh as any bank, credit card etc. EON seems to be using credit files in an incorrect way. Its a side point, but I also remember I was paying around £169 a month for electric in a one bed flat which I raised a complaint about - but was told that's what the meter says. I am now in a four bed house paying £70 with four people rather than 2! Any suggestions on next steps or who I should claim to ? I am sure i cannot be the only person this has happened to; any advice ?
  2. All sorted in the end. However not by job centre, although a manager did call me back and said it was totally stupid problem with the health and safety thing and apologised for the screw up with not entering my P45. I called tax office, they had past employment details, and just asked me the figure of p60 from job centre which i had been sent a copy of. Was told by HMRC that it was all computerised now so no need to send anything in, was told my refund total and said payment should be made by the end of June. Lets wait and see!
  3. Hi I signed on in Feb 09 and provided all my documents including a P45. I knew I was due some tax back and expected a refund from the job centre. I never got my refund and was told by the job centre I was not due one. I called the Tax office and they said I was due around £2k. I called the job centre back and it seems they never entered the P45 I provided them which was why they they said I was not due a refund. This was after my times being told by the job centre I did not understand how tax refunds works! They then said they would check my master documents supplied, and would need to get from archives. I have been called today to be told that they cannot get the documents, due to health and safety they have been stored in an area that they are now longer allowed to access! They have now said there is nothing I can do. The tax office wants a P45 from the job centre and a p60, I cannot provide the p45, until I sign off. I told the job centre I would file a claim for all my documents within 40 days, but was told if my documents were stored in this special health and safety area they could not be provided under any circumstances! Any ideas?
  4. Hi I have read online how last year the CCTV network in Westminster was shutdown due to problems with the quality of photographs taken. Fears of illegal parking free-for-all as Westminster turns off traffic cameras | News Is the network still down or is it back fining people again? The westminster website seems to show its still working.
  5. Hi I have just had a charge certificate in the post today for an alleged offense of driving in a bus lane back in Feb. I have not had ANY other notices from them. I remember this happening, and it was due to a truck pulling out and I had no choice but to go into the bus lane other than have an accident. The charge certificate says I have no right to appeal. How is this fair? If I guess what has happened that the other one has got lost in the post, and now they want me to pay £180!!! Any advice?
  6. Hi A quick overview. I rent a room in a flat share in a leafy part of London. When I came to visit the flat it had two bedrooms and a living room. The day I moved in I found that the landlady (36) was living in the living room and that room was out of bounds. I was annoyed but already paid my rent and deposit and signed agreement. What could I do! It was clear she had rented out the rooms so she could afford to stay in the flat. She also never informed me she had a cat, which I am very allergic to. The first night I stayed in my room, I found the mattress to be a nightmare. a few days later I was covered in bite marks. I found that it was over 12 years old and invested with cat fleas and bed bugs. I told her in no uncertain terms this mattress was going and that I would get a new one. She refused to pay for a new one. Even though my tennency agreement says its furnished. I also found out she has not held my deposit in the assured government scheme. There have been loads of other weird problems, most would make people laugh out loud - my friends think I am living with the woman from hell. It reminds of of a past experience when I moved into a flat and the landlady found out I was going out with a Nigerian girl. She turned up at the flat when she had stayed over - I am sure you can guess what happened. I am white by the way. There have been a number of weird situations over the last six months, but as I work long hours we have pretty much kept out of each others way. The bathroom has been the problem with 3 people living in a 2 bed flat. About a month agree the flat had a flood and she claimed on the insurance and a new kitchen and bathroom was installed - which was nice. Although we were without a kitchen and bathroom for over 3 weeks, we were told it was tough. I ended up eating out loads and having to shower at the gym. I am at the end of my tenecny and she has written me a letter saying that I she wants to put the rent up. I have no intention of staying and will be leaving. However, she also wrote me a letter saying that if I stay that I may only cook certain foods in the kitchen. I am not allowed to fry food or use oil so not to damage the new kitchen. I must make friends with the cat and stroke it etc. She does not care I am alergic, she feels that the cat is feeling unloved by me! There were some other weird things as well but that was the main part. what the hell! The final straw is that she has continually gone into my room even though I have told her its out of bounds. I went away last week to come back to find my room had been tided and my various items moved around. She left the door to my room open all week so the cat has shed many cat hairs all over the bed. I have a warddrobe and found her items which she did not want to use all stacked up in the back and my items on my bed. I gave her one months notice today, however what i can do about all the past issues. Does the tenency agreement cover me, how can I stop her going into my room - do I have any rights here? You might all be laughing like crazy by now why I have put up with this. Or is it a case of just walking away. To be honest I would like to give her a scare, legal letters etc make it look like I am going to sue her to death etc. Would teach the little witch a lesson. Any advice would be great.
