  1. I Think the b......s have been very clever - I am sure something is in the air with the test case etc. - they have now got this new charges thing - ie the £1 per or the £5 per day - if they have to refund all the charges then all anyone can do to avoid these new charges is to use their refund to clear the overdrafts - Halifax get their money back!!!!!
  2. hello sorry to butt in - but not show where to mention this - have just been reading an article about a man in US who bought some fags with his bank card and was charged 23quadrillion $ - when he got it sorted out with his bank - he had gone over his over draft limit (of course) but the point is he was charged a fee of 15$ for being overdrawn - isnt this about 8 quid!!!!
  3. hello just as an aside to current posts - can anyone explain when a direct debit is returned unpaid (due to a couple of quid short) what have hsbos actually done to earn their 35 plus 28 quids
  4. Could anyone help me with any information regarding banks taking charges out of someones job seekers allowance - son has just got stung for a £30.00 charge out of £45.50 benefit!!!!!
  5. many thanks for advice - will try to get something sorted in the morning - had already began claim for refund of charges - got to lba stage, then the OFT thing kicked in !! previous charges on claim were for 588 - but a further 60 since !!! How come they can have business as usual - ie still raking in the charges - when all claims are on hold to decide if they are even lawful thanks again best wishes everyone
  6. Hi everyone not sure if this should be a new thread actually but anyway.....account will go overdrawn tomorrow and 3 more DD's to come out before pay day which will of course result in 4 x £30.00 being taken. Already have 1k overdraft - does anyone have any experience of asking Hal. to extend o. draft slightly, even just temporarily - heartily sick of this lot!!!!! thanks and best of luck to you all

    What next?

The way I see things at the moment is..the banks have won, albeit temporarily.. they do not have to pay out any refunds, and from what I can gather, the court test case could take an awful long time to come to any conclusion...in the meantime, business as usual for the banks... they can still rake in the charges. Surely if they have been granted a waiver, then charges should also be put on hold
  8. hello in the same boat - lba time now up but too skint to go any further - I am wondering if, by the time I can afford it, another couple of weeks, will it be too late considering that all claims are now on hold - or will the fact you have sent the lba be classed as a registered complaint best of luck
  9. If LBA has only just been sent - will this still class as a registered complaint or will it need to go to court stage - any advice really welcome thanks
  10. I would think if this lot is now suspended - the banks should also suspend the charges......
  11. hello there very best of luck with your claim - hope the cash is with you very soon - could you tell me the best address to send the SAR to get the statments please. Thanks
  12. hello everyone posted my SAR on 23 April - still not heard anything and the £10 cheque no even cashed!!
  13. hello everyone does anyone know how I can get statements on line for last 2 years - have registered for on line banking but can't locate them on the site many thanks and good luck !!
