  1. Hi, i need help again! I am just sending in the preliminary letter and the spreadsheet of charges to the bank, and have a query about the interest i can claim for? Nearly every month when i am overdrawn i have a charge of 'Interest to 12 July' (for example) and can range from 79p to £8.59. Can i include this interest on spreadsheet? Also, on the letter, it says ''i calculate you have taken £XXXX plus £XXXX interest; total £XXXX''. What is this interest? Is it the aforementioned monthly interest, or does it refer to the 8% contractural interest which i understand you leave off for now? Hope this makes sense and hope somebody can clear it up for me! Thanks
  2. Thank you, i am in England. So one spreadsheet or two? I presume two? Also, am using the spreadsheets off this site, can i just use the 'simple' one as the advanced looks very very complicated? Thanks in advance again, hope someone can help!!
  3. Hi, i am just getting round to filling in the spreadsheet with all my charges itemised, and sending that and the prelim approach letter for repayment (is this right?) to the bank, but I am claiming on two accounts with RBS, so can I send just the one letter but two spreadsheets (for each account) or do I need to send two spreadsheets and two letters, seperate for each account? Thank you in advance!
  4. Thank you for the replies, very useful. I have been reading through all the FAQs and instructions, but i'm sure i will be posting with queries again soon! Thanks again
  5. I'm about to start a claim against the Royal Bank of Scotland, for two accounts, one which I have now finished with and closed, and one which is still my current account. Is this ok? Quick questions - where on this site is the template for the letter requesting full charges I have been charged over the past 6 years? I have looked at it before whilst reading up on what to do, but can't seem to find it at the moment. Also, can you just claim for the past 6 years, no further back? And also, can I claim for two accounts at the same time? And can you claim on an account that is not in credit? I am always in my overdraft, although not over the overdraft limit. Thank you in advance.
  6. Thank you T4FF. I will do, and will post again very shortly needing more help i'm sure :-|
  7. Thank you all, i dont think i have a default notice to worry about as have never been aware of one, plus all my charges 'just' come from going over agreed overdraft limit, interest etc, not non-payment of specific bills etc. One more thing though - i have two accounts: one is my current account, another is one where i wish to pay off the overdraft and then close it, i think as soon as i pay it off the RBS will close it anyway, so do i start preceedings on this account before i pay off and close it? Or can you still claim on closed accounts? And lastly, can you claim on the two accounts together, ie, same letter/spreadsheets or seperate letters/spreadsheets etc? Thankyou again in advance!
  8. Hi, i've just logged on to this site, as I am just going to start a claim. I was hoping for some clear, quick answers for a couple of questions I have please?! I am currently reading through all the FAQs etc, but some of it sounds very complicated! Can anyone help please?! What is a default notice? How do you know if you have been 'defaulted for a debt which has been caused by unlawful charges'? I am intending on going back through my statements to calculate my charges, rather than write to the bank asking for the total. Is this ok and will it show everything? Can you just claim back for 6 years worth only? Is there a maximum £ you can claim? (I am with RBS by the way). Thank you so much in advance, I think I will find this forum very helpful and useful!
