  1. Thanks Christina. They stated in their letter to me that they felt justified in making their charges but, win or lose, they couldn't recover their costs via the small claims track therefore they wouldn't contest it.
  2. I didn't get any offer at all from BoS until I served court papers on them and then they settled in full 3 weeks before court date. Recieved full amount + interest + costs.
  3. Mathews Mum, Thanks for your help. Very much appreciated. . . . .and good lucck with your new family!
  4. Have lodged Sumary Cause Summons at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. Recieved letter telling me to serve summons on the bank. A solicitor or Sheriff Officer must do this by recorded delivery. Anyone gone down this route who can advise me what to do next? A bit confused!!! Appreciate any help. Thanks, Jim.
  5. Hi all. About to make my claim through the small claims court against BoS. Do I have to put a name of a person on it or can I just write "The Manager" . . . of my local branch? I also have a name of customer relations manager but the address is at a PO Box. Could I put this box no. on it as I believe it has to be signed for? Appreciate any help. Jim.
  6. Claim is against the Bank of Scotland who are now the Halifax Bank of Scotland.
  7. Thanks guys. Will continue the good fight!
  8. Hi all. Not sure if this has come up before as I'm new to this. Sent my claim against Bank of Scotland and they've told me they are not refunding charges as there has been . . . "no error on the part of the Halifax." Should I have claimed against HBOS? Or is this a tactic on their part to put me off? Appreciate any help. Thanx. Jim.
