Hi.... i'm posting this for my mother-in-law....(no funny in-law jokes please...she's actually really nice....!!!!) anyway, she got herself a C 1 credit card about 6 years ago, no problems...then got a letter a while ago asking her if she would like an upgraded card, which she accepted....but they just sent her another card...fine so she kept both, used them paid, paid the card bill each month no problems.....recently she noticed that she was being charged for a PPI on both cards neither which asked for. she has now asked why this was and was told that she was sold the PPI's by telephone......which she has told me never happen.....problems starting!!!! so far she has by letter asked for the money back...about £800.... and was told no, the PPI's were sold to her by phone and thats that....! she has now managed to ask for her statements from day one of her account which she has now got..... i presume we now need to ask for a copy of the original agreement for the cards to make sure PPI was not asked for..... what do we do next.....??? i have some experience of claiming charges back myself as i successfully got all my bank charges back last year from nationwide with that help of this fantastic site.....and "milk tray man"......you know who you are.. Hi Chaps i too have been allegedly doing wrong...... but I'm afraid they may be in for a little shock.... i got caught in a box junction due to emergency vehicle's wanting to pass..... but thats not the clincher.... it was a "t" junction box (covering both lanes each direction) and i was on the other side of the road to the junction...so quoting a site called ticket fighter: The yellow box regulation only applies to a vehicle which is stopped. A vehicle which is moving slowly cannot be ticketed. Ensure the authority has evidence that your vehicle was stopped. A single still photo does not prove the vehicle was stopped. The offence is committed when you enter the box. Therefore if circumstances afterwards change, such as a vehicle changing lanes and blocking your exit, you can appeal. The authority must have video evidence of your vehicle when it enters the box and stopped and this evidence must show also that the exit was not clear when you entered. A yellow box must have four sides. The yellow lines must go into the corner of the box, as shown in the picture below The box should go right up to the kerb There should be only one yellow box at a junction A yellow box at a T junction should cover only half of the junction (the half next to the side road), as shown in the second picture below A box which deviates from the standards requires approval from the Department for Transport (DfT). You may request evidence of this approval when appealing your ticket. If the authority doesn't have DfT approval (which is likely) then the box is invalid and cannot be enforced. Yellow boxes do not require a traffic order Click here for the law on what information a yellow box junction ticket must contain. All of Islington council's tickets were recently deemed invalid for failing to comply with the law. The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2002 governs the format that a yellow box junction must take and the information below summarises this legislation. just writing the the local council now......should be interesting....!!   5. my claim was issues on the 18th may, deemed served on the 28th may so nationwide had till the 11th june to reply..the defendant filed an acknowledgement of service on 30th may. the defendant responded to the claim indicating an intention to defend all of the claim" so....28 days from the 18th of may...15th june i forgot the date and only checked my account on the 20th june and found i had been paid that day....... got the rest of my money today so all in all 34days from filling at my local court..... hope this is of some encouragement...?     ahhhmmmm......WOOOHOOOOO.....!!!! nationwide today paid the remaining balance into my account £652.69 which now means i have been paid in full.......... So........ big thank you to CAG and all those that helped me along the way.....MTM.....thanks very much chap...... donation to CAG on its way....... i think it's now beer'o'clock....... nick........

    so...been trying to find a thread or two that has come across the same problem i have now...!but as yet cant find one.....!! or am i being dence? been paid...but not all of it.....about £600 short. should i wait a few days? call the bank directly? or call the court (or go and see them as its only round the corner) i hope they dont think this is full and final payment!!!! nick

    the money has been paid into my everyday flex account so it will just be used like any other money that goes in..... do you think this will a differance, can the y say i have accepted it beacause its in an active account? how do you mean carry on with the claim?.... there time is up but htey have not compleated on my payments.....? maybe i should wait a day to see if anymore payments are made? i think these payments to me were paid very late in the evenning? maybe i'll get another tommorow i'll have another look in the mornning........i'm off work at the moment so i have all the rest of this week to do some chaseing.....! kind regards Nick
