  8. I recently had a claim against First Direct settled in full, alomng with a smaller one from Intelligent Finance and Citibank. Just to let people know that I am also managing to sucessfully get any further charges stopped. As soon as I see a pending charge, I contact the bank and say, "you are about to commit an unlawful act., I will however accept an immediate reversal of the charge rather than asking you to stop it in the first instance, as I realise that most charges are computer generated! Hope this helps someone.
  9. I was only after £60 plus the court fee of £30 from iF, and they coughed up for that this morning. They gave in at the same stage as First Direct, when the court thingy was sent. Good luck every one

Is anyone after Intelligent Finance, they are the telephone arm of the Halifax I can't sue them using Moneyclaim online as their address is in Scotland, I seem to have spent every spare moment this week trying to get a reply from our local small claims court to see if I can do it through the post. They just don't answer the phone!! Does anyone know anything usefull!!
  11. I got settlement in full £620 approx 2 weeks ago. The solicitors letter comes with a confidentiality clause in it, perhaps that is what is putting people off posting. I did post my sucess!!
  12. I rejected the first offer of withdrawing 50% of the pending charge and gave 24 hrs to withdraw rest and notify me by email which they've done!! All credit to First Direct, a full refunf of all charges AND pending charges removed

Having received a full refund, I found I had another charge pending so I emailed First Direct to tell them it was unlawfull etc using the letter from Spiceskull (thanks) I gave them 2 days to reply and they replied in time with an offer of a 50% refund which I've just declined, I'll let you know how it goes!!
  14. I've got a pending charge of £30 from First Direct, who have just refunded me £630. Whats the first letter or email to send, can someone advise please. Thanks
