Absolutely fantastic post Calvi36 well done,

P.S. when a Bailiff shows you his certificate you can check this out instantly by telephoning the court where it was issued, the court will be named on the stamp of the certificate, the only cost occured would be the phone call.:)

If a bailiff has shown you a certificate why would you need to telephone the court?

It could be a false certificate. Anyone is free to check to see if someone's id is genuine when they are at your door. All the utility companies have a direct phone number so you can check the validity of their staff. Let's just say that some bailiffs out there are definitely operating uncertificated, the genuine ones would have no problem with you checking that their certification was genuine. Bogus callers and all that!

Calvi

Until this thread started, you had never visited this part of the site.

As debt counsellors I have always supported, and will continue to support the organisation in your post for their advice on IVA's and Bankruptcy. However, as I have previously stated, very few people are aware of bailiff matters, and most simply paste and copy other sites. ( We have never done this)

However, I am pleased to hear that this company are being supported by the moderators to CAG.

In this case, BEFORE posted a link to this company, could they not have instead asked that you look closely at the advice given on this site under BAILIFFS

This is because, like NATIONAL DEBTLINE they have the fees that the bailiff can charge for COUNCIL TAX only. Nothing else. If you have a a bailiff visit resulting from an unpaid PCN....tough. In addition, the fees stated for Council Tax are the ones from 9 YEARS AGO. There have been THREE increases since that time !!! So again, more incorrect information being provided, with the moderators permission to your viewers.

In addition, under HOW TO COMPLAIN, it lists the details of ACEA ( The Assocaiaion of Civil Enforcement Agents) .

This company, (who I know very well) will not be impressed to find that the address on this recommended site is totally incorrect....and the telephone number is disconnected. ACEA have not been at this address for a long time. As for details of the second company listed under How to Complain....I have never heard of them !!!

I'm sorry, Calvi but nearly 600 viewers have visited this thread. I have been completely overwhelmed with the huge number of telephone calls and e-mails that have come into my office since this thread started.....and every single message has praised my site with not a single complaint over the nominal fee, but each person wondering what on earth you are trying to achieve and the moderators to CAG too.

With your help now on this bailiff section and with the assistance of both NATIONAL DEBTLINE and this new link, I think it is probably the right time to say goodbye and good luck to all those on here. Most have my e-mail address and of course, as always, I will respond to pm's.

Thank you everyone......

For the same reason YOU once said to me Herbie,The Certificate might not represent the company He/She works for.
