Good Evening, I've got a fairly simple question but I'll provide some context incase needed. I've pursued a company that has operations in england despite them having no official office anywhere. I've managed to find a site they operate from and the papers there have been defended so I know they operate there. They've filed a defence which is honestly the worst defence ever, and despite being required to provide their witness evidence, they have not and have completely ignored the courts and my request for copies of it. I'm therefore considering applying to strike out their defence on the grounds the defence was rubbish an

I have just opened another bank acc with lloyds (i have a few already) After doing some research they may have some relation to tsb or be apart of the same group will this cause me issue if my salary is paid into my lloyds account? Also, if the debts do go into default and nothing is paid then after 6 years it all goes away? As the DCAs cannot do anything? I do want to start paying in like 3/4 months or do you advise I leave it if it goes into default? again sorry for all the questions, i am just processing everything -

Challenging a fraudulent chargeback claim made via eBay/Paypal
dx100uk replied to thewhitequeen's topic in Online Stores
then the who thing cannot have anything to do with paypal then, they cant be involved at all. chargeback fee? from whom never heard of that one either. ebay/paypal must have changed their T&C's again then since the demise of brexit and EU agreements. i can only assume he paid paypal, who acted solely a payment intermediary, to buy your trainers from ebay. and ebay added a £14 processing fee? thats unlawful hence their refund. i dont think there is anything you can do here sadly. classic ebay scam that goes back +30yrs. just now rejigged for the 22nd century. typically it only resulted in an unenforceabl -

The funds were taken by eBay, rather than Paypal. I presume Paypal collects the funds from eBay, and so eBay then sting me for the money. But either way, before this money was taken from my account, my eBay account balance showed as -£85. Yes, my bank account has been debited by this amount. eBay say that they are completely removed from the chargeback process, because it is carried out by the buyer's financial institution. So, conveniently, they cannot help, other than by refunding the chargeback fee of £14.

Perfect, thanks for the detailed response. One question, do you know how long it takes for the breathing space to get applied? Say for example I have payments due in 4 days and I apply today how does that work? Also, sorry for sounding stupid but what do you mean by default once the breathing space is in place? I mean what does "Default" mean. After the breathing space is over and I wanted more time, what would happen? I can and will afford the payments after a few months but I just need that breather to sort some stuff out, as I have said I have never missed a payment. Sorry for the many replies but a -
Challenging a fraudulent chargeback claim made via eBay/Paypal
dx100uk replied to thewhitequeen's topic in Online Stores
a chargeback via a paypal account used in an ebay sale doesn't usually result in funds being sucked from your bank account, just that you attain a paypal negative balance. as you saying the money was taken by paypal from your bank account without you authorising this? or is it directly the buyers name that is shown? regarding the chargeback but either way you bank account HAS been debited? dx -

moved to the debt self help forum. plenty of like threads here to read along with the ones you've done so far..good work. last thing you ever want to do is look at any kind of IVO/BK or anything alike concerning consumer debt, never do that, turns unsecured debts into secured ones in many instances. your best bet for now is p'haps looks at Options for dealing with your debts: Breathing Space (Debt Respite Scheme) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) sadly you have to go thru one of the free debt charities to invoke that but DON'T be tempted to also open up a DMP with them, just get the Breathing Space done. get that in place t -

Hello, I am a private seller and recently sold a pair of trainers on eBay. Everything seemed fine until just after the eBay 30 day mbg had expired. The buyer contacted me with photos showing me that both shoes had ripped. He wanted his money back, and after refusing to refund him, he then left me retaliatory and defamatory feedback on my profile to the effect that I had sold him fake trainers (this was removed by eBay). He then initiated a chargeback via Paypal. Invariably, the outcome was in his favour, and I have now been charged for the cost of the trainers. I would have also been stung for the char

Thank you, I have drafted my letters and started to complete the reply form, printed from this site and not using the one they provided. 2 questions, on the forum link it says to tick box D & I, the reason for box D will be given on my thread, what would my answer be to "I dispute the debt"? Do I send anything for the Vodafone debt they have included? I've only done 118 loan s. 77 & capital one credit cards so. 78 Thank you

It'll be something to the effect of: "I am in receipt of your letter before claim. I was awaiting a passenger as a licensed cab driver on the Locton estate who subsequently cancelled the pickup after me waiting a while and will fight this in the small claims court if necessary. Plus I have friends who are experts in contractual law and make it their business to defeat these spurious PPC claims. So issue the claim form or go forth and multiply, up to you"

Hello, I hope you're all well, I just wanted some advise on my debt situation. So currently my debt is a total of £17,000, 7k to Amex and 10k to TSB as a loan, now I have never missed a payment and I have always been on time but I have had some personal circumstances that mean I need my money and I cannot afford to pay these loans off for the time being. I'd need around 4/5 months and then ill be able to start making the payment again, I' ve been reading on the forum and I have seen many options but I'd like to know what the best option for me is. I don't want and IVA or DMP and nor do I want to go bankrupt.
