Default Worried!

Hi i am new here and have some concerns..

I have my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) printed out and ready to send to YB, but i am concerned about the effect claiming might have on my health, I have MS and stress tends to have a devastating effect on my day to day life {although you think with 4 kids i would be used to the stress lol}. I have a problem retaining information and wondered could i ask in advance that all correspondence be in writing and not supply my phone number?

Also YB closed my account last year and as a result my disability benefits went missing for over a month {they apparently couldn't trace it.} It left me in a lot of debt and caused me a lot of problems, about a month or so ago tho out of the blue, YB sent me a cheque for £186 stating something about overpayment of DD. I cant remember exactly. I wasn't going to ask questions tho i just cashed it and left it at that, but now i am considering this will it make a difference? I would reckon they owe me maybe £2000 approx.

Can i get someone else to deal with this for me? i am thinking more especially in the latter stages when it goes to court etc... as i get very confused and would guarantee to mess things up, presuming i go that far and dont take any offer they might give.

Ive read alot of the YB claims and its sods law that i get the awkward ones... I'm with Alliance and Leciester now and i must say there customer service has been wonderful. They have refunded me several charges already when i foned up in confusion even without asking them too,

Any thoughts and help would be much appreciated.

Correspondence tends to be in writing anyway. If they do call. you just need to tell them that and hang up.

Previous refunds won't affect your claim.

It's extremely unlikely that it would ever actually go to court, but anyone can be a 'lay representative' and present your case ( but only with you present) or you can present your case and be accompanied by a 'Mckenzie's friend' who cannot address the court but can be there to advise you

But before any of that, you have hundreds of people here to help whenever you have a problem
