Unhappy bad behaviour

I have received my May Bank statement and am shocked to find out that the Woolwich has charged me £35 unpaid direct debit charges 8 times- that means they have removed £280 frommy current account!!! I called up the bank and was told that no refunds will be given and that 4 more pending charges are due to com out in June!!! I complained and was told that the Customer Relations team will be contacting me within 21 days - I am so fed up - that leaves me with no money at all - I work full time and my salary covers all debits - with this ridiculous amount taken out - the cycle will carry on please help if you have any advice.

Yes, claim it all back, do NOT give them 21 days, read the FAQs and step-by-step, total up how much they have charged you, and go after them all guns blazing, no prisoners, time to fight back!

How's that for good advice?

Question Re: bad behaviour

I know that feeling all too well. You have got to keep focused. Follow Bookworms advice. Unfortunately, lots of other folk on here have had a similar situation.

Noticed the following re Banking Code, posted by dx100uk. Can you please give further information on this as I hadn't heard that one before. Is it something that can be used? Has it been used successfully. Thanks

Many thanks for all the advice - I got a letter from the Woolwich on Saturday stating that they will come to a decision on the 4th of July. They stated that they are following FSA rules and that they have 21 days to reply to a query or complaint. Is this true

Don't believe anything they say. You set the rules, not them. Like Bookworm says go after them full bore and don't give them any quarter. Might be an idea to open a parachute account with another bank and arrange to have your salary paid into that assuming your creit record is still good. If it's not you still have the option of a Basic Bank Account and you'll find info about those on this site. All the best
