Twelve days 'till court..... colinmac vs Woolwich/Barclays
Having started my claim against the Woolwich/Barclays (for just over £6000) last August, I finally commenced court proceedings in December, via MCOL.
Following advice, I reduced the claim to just under £5000 to qualify for Small Claims and also to comply with the 6 year rule.
I am now tempted to push for the whole, original amount. I did originate the claim in 2006 and after all, it has been Woolwich/Barclays refusal to settle that pushed the claim into 2007 and thence a portion of my claim to over 6 years.
I was just wondering if any one else been in the same position?
Court hearing is set for 24th April and am getting rather apprehensive as the day draws near!
The templates, advice and support from Consumer Action Group has all been invaluable and I think that I am fully prepared - court bundle taken to the County court at the beginning of this month and a copy sent (recorded delivery) to Barclays' legal dept at same time.
But now, with just over a week to go, nothing from Barclays - if I understand the system correctly, they are obliged to send me, the claimant a copy of their 'bundle' or is this just a courtesy?
Anyway, will post any progress as 24th April approaches............
