Default LynneH v Barclays/Woolwich

Have reached the MCOL stage with Barclays/Woolwich. Issued this week so we shall see what happens...Also have claims out (this week) on Halifax and Alliance & Leicester. A&L have aleady acknowledged my claim so they're playing their games!!

Thanks so much to this wonderful site for all the help. I doubt I would have had the confidence to proceed without it. I shall def be donating as soon as they pay up!!

I shall keep up to date now the ball is rolling!!

Hi Lynne

You're threads gone super quiet however I presume you should have a date from your local county court by now?

Thanks for your message...This week I heard from the court...(about time!!) Anyway, they have not given a date!! Instead they have sent me an 'Order for stay for Settlement with consent of all the parties'.

I assume they're desperately trying to free up court time as the banks never turn up. This obviously is really irritating the hell out of them as it's such a waste. I have decided to hang fire for another few days to see if Barclays contact me first. I doubt that they will and I shall probably have to make the first move. I believe I saw a template a while back suggested by a subsciber about coming to a reasonable agreement..??? Have looked for it again but couldn't find it.

I will contact them next week if nothing arrives by Wednesday...I thought maybe suggest the original amount with just the first lot of interest on...what do you think???

Hmm, not sure Lynne, I think this is one you should refer to the main Barclays forum - there are others who have been made this offer and they will know exactly what the implictions are and explain what they did to come to an agreed settlement.

You need to make the first move as you can bet B's aren't going to step forward to get a fast payout - they'll hang it out til the end without any communication to you.
