Request letter typed but worried

Of course this is your claim, so you do what feels right, however you don't need to accept the confidentiality clause. I personally would tell them where to stick it!

	Subject Access Request A Subject Access Request is a demand which you can make to any organisation to disclose any personal information which they hold on you. The right to disclosure of data is provided by the Data Protection Act. There is no time limit. The organisation is obliged to reveal everything they have about you - which you ask for - as far back as you ask for. There are very few exceptions. It does not matter whether the data is held on microfiche, in an archive, on tape, in a cardex system, in sound recordings or in screen notes. If you are seeking bank charges information then you should ask for "all data held on you" and you should make it clear that you want everything as far back as it goes. Do not be put off by excuses. Do not accept being fobbed off. It is not in your bank's interest to make full disclosure to you. This means that it is in your interests to get it. If you have not started gathering your bank charges information yet, then you should start now. There will soon be a big rush once the OFT test case has been settled. Get all of your bank account informtion as far back as possible. At least as far back as 1995. If your bank says that they don't keep data as far back as this, don't accept it. Be persistent. They've got what you need in some form or other.

No response to first voicemail message left so I called again and got a woman who told me to e-mail my proposal for settlement as Keith Jeremiah was a very busy man who was in and out of meetings. I have emailed him Without Prejudice using excerpts from other similar letters and emails on the forum, thank you everyone , I have offered a small concession regarding the interest for a speedy resolution, as I go on holiday next week and it would be good to have this settled before then. If I don't hear anything before I go I'll send off the AQ and await a court date.

	Are you letting your bank keep your money Are you giving away thousands of pounds?? Many people aren't claiming all of the money they are entitled to when they make their bank charges claims. You have been forced to pay unfair bank charges. Have you forgotten that your bank has charged you inteest on those charges? If you are overdrawn and the bank owes you charges - then your overdraft is made up of charges - money which you bank owes you. Yet you are paying interest to the bank - on your own money!!! I love it!!!
The wonderful thing is that I can identify and request information about accounts/loans and all other silly mistakes and financial arrangements that I have entered into in my life that I would never dream of divulging to other people. Done some pretty stupid things in my life but now realise that hey so have other people. This site gives you the information and the impotus to stand up and be counted cos you know someone knows something about everything and is willing to share. I'm still a newbe so I'll share the looove!!

Got three going actually, still not sure whether or not you should use the one or open new ones with different queries/banks!
So stuck with three different ones as sometimes you pick up on a thread and see a mod etc telling someone to open their own thread - hence the three.

I digress, as I was saying I have submitted Data Protection Act letters to halifax and prelim letter to HSBC so am on the ladder so to speak. How are you doing?

I still haven't heard anything, I sent another copy of my e-mail this morning reiterating that I was going away and asking for a reply either way. My holiday plans have actually changed slightly now due to the current flight situation so I have a bit more leeway before I need to send in my allocation questionnaire but not much.

I'm back home for a couple of days before going away again, and my AQ has to be filed on Wednesday so this morning I tried again to phone Keith Jeremiah, surprise surprise he was in a meeting but the girl who took the message was a little more accomodating. I hope i get a response either way today or tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope. I must just keep telling myself patience is a virtue
