Default Woolwich/Barclays offer to me.

Hi all only just found this site !
Wish i had earlier. I basically just fired off a copy of the OFT's judgement etc with my details demanding my charges back. The usual letters inresponse from the Woolwich and then passed to Barclays. I received a letter saying they were dealing with it and then nothing. Basically rang them and said if someone didn't get back with a reply soon we'd close all our accounts etc. I haven't got a record of how much they owe me (should i ?)(how ?) but basiaclly they just sent me an offer of £850.00. This is nothing like what i've been charged so what now ? I obviously haven't followed the standard route from here but I've got this far and i want it all back !!!!!

Cheers inadvance for any help.

Hi Dad,
Welcome

you need to go here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...lates-library/ you want the Data Protection Act-Subject Access Request template this give the bank 40 days to supply the statements up to the last 6 years. while waitin you can read the FAQs and also read through a few threads it will help you get to know the problems you are likley to encounter.

Cheers for that.

Will it matter that i have already received an offer ? I have already started the ball rolling with my other letter so can i now ask for the details via the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) ? If so do i basically follow the instructions exactly or tailor them to fit my circumstances ?

I'm reading as much as possible but there are so many things to remember

Cheers again

If they have made an offer you may write to them and say thankyou i will accept the offer in part payment towards my total, they may or may not accept this.
Yes still send off you S.A.R - (Subject Access Request)(amended to suit) it might be better to wait untill you can confirm all your charges and interest on the charges.
Dont forget to enclose a £10 cheque or P/Order (they normally refund it)
Send all mail recorded at least. Give them two working days to receive it then start counting your 40 days off, if you have heard nothing by day 20 drop them another letter stating they only have xx amount of days left to forfil your request.
Its better to write as you have a hard copy of every thing youve sent treat yourselt to a nice big folder to keep every thing together.
I think you can find the address to send the Data Protection Act-S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) near the top of the Woolwich forum home page.

Further to my last post.

Should I send the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to the adress on their latest correspondance do you think ?

That's

Barclays
Freepost RLTA-CSUE-TCHC
Head Office Customer Relations
London
E14 5HP

Seeing as this was the lot who offered me the paltry sum of £850.00 they surely will have my accounts for the last 6 years ?

If not then the Woolwich PLC i take it ?

Cheers
