Default woolwich bank charges

Hello CAG
I have just recieved a goodwill offer of £175 from the woolwich (Barclays) which i most certainly want to decline. I don't know what my charges were in total or how far they go back, I feel that they are alot more than the offer. I am unsure what to do next or how to do it. Could anyone give me some advise on how and where to go from here.
Many thanks JJ

Have you sent off for a Data Protection Act Subject Access Request yet. If not, then that is the best place to start. They have to respond within 40 days, and then you can add up all the charges and send the preliminary letter claiming the total. These letters can be found as templates in the "Bank Templates Library" ; you just have to amend them to suit your own case.

While you waiting for the Woolwich to respond, have a good look at the FAQ's, and read through some of the longer threads to get a good idea of how to proceed with a successful claim

Good luck

Hi JamieJay Wecome to CAG......

You need to send a Data Protection Act SUbject Acess Request which you will find in the banks template libary.
Then you need to spend a lot of time reading lots of different threads so you can see how these things progress or come to a grinding halt. You also, if you havent already, must read the FAQ's there is a lot of guidence in there.

Basically ppl will help if your stuck but you need to do alot of the groundwork yourself. Other than that enjoy it, it may seem daunting now but when you get your money back it'll put a big smile on your face.

Remember Read, Read, then read a bit more
Follow the guidelines
Dont give up
And stick to a timetable

Cheers AL.
