Good Morning All,
I'm looking for help. I've requested my charges back from four accounts (two abbey national accounts, one NatWest and one HSBC). Abbey National tried to give me a 'good will' gesture a while back which was less then half the charges I was asking for. I declined the offer of settlement and took the complaint to 'Stage 2' with them.
They've ignored my charges breakdown (it's been in consideration for over eight weeks) and now I feel the need to go to small claims court.
I'm not asking for a lot (£599.00) and they've paid out £210 already in 'good will'. When I am filling out the particulars of claim is there a 'legalese' way of saying 'I accept the £210 as part payment and am taking Abbey National to small claims for the outstanding £389'?
I've got a HSBC business account in consideration as well. They've pretty much defaulted and don't know what to do with the whole area of Business Charges. Is taking them to the Ombusman the best route or should I go to Small Claims Court?
As for NatWest. They paid up with little or no fuss. (£729 quid). It wasn't all they ever took off me, but it was all I could get for the last six years.
Any help gratefully received.
Kind regards
James
