Ryanair Dump Passengers At Reus

Hi, Ive just came back from holiday with ryanair from reus, on the return journey we were just about to take off when they discovered a fault with an exit door, they off loaded us back to the airport saying they would get an engineer to fix it but it would take a couple of hours and we would leave at midnight.
Midnight came and went and we were then told the flight was cancelled and we were to leave the airport and return at 10am the next day.
They basically dumped us with nowhere to go, families with kids (i had my 2 year old), people with wheelchairs, some with no money, and told to get our own accomodation at 12.30 in the morning and that we had to leave the airport as it was closing.
No help was given whatsoever, so some of us around 50-60 maybe more refused to leave the airport and they eventually let us stay, we had to sleep on the floor one poor women was stuck in her wheelchair the whole night, she must have been in agony, kids sleeping on tables it was sheer hell.
Can anyone tell me if Ryanain are actually allowed to get away with this,
the airport staff at Reus were just as bad, they went around in the morning banging trays together to wake people up, if you are thinking of booking with Ryanair, DONT GO

Default Re: Ryanair Dump Passengers At Reus

I was "taken off" a KLM flight in January. I already had my boarding card, etc....but the flight was overbooked. So along with 2 other passengers I was basically told my seat had been taken.
They did organise accomodation and paid us 200EURO. BUT...I still put in a massive complaint as I was so p*ssed off!! Sooooooo, they kept trying to fob me off. I called the "which" help line who told me to quote the Montreal Convention under whose rule they have to pay certain amounts depending on distance.....(hope this makes sense)....anyway, they then paid me an extra £179. So there
PEOPLE DO NOT COMPLAIN ENOUGH!!!
