Default Quick Question

Just a quick question. If the amount I am trying to claimis over the £5K, allowed for the small claims court, then what happens with the claim?
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Groover,
welcome to our forum.
See below for response to your question.

FAST TRACK
  • For claim values between £5,000 and £15,000
  • Where the case can be heard in one day or less
MULTI-TRACK
  • Cases which fall outside of the above scenarios
Since the N150 is usually distributed for claims which are likely to fall outside of the scope of Small Claims Track, it is slightly more in-depth and has a few more sections.

All of the above can be found here and is always a very good idea to read them before trying to reclaim your charges.
Example Step-By-Step Instructions - Now updated to reflect the OFT court judgment
Good luck.

Also, in Fasttrack and Multitrack, if you lose you will be liable for the defendant's costs.

fellow comrades,
let's not scare the poor sole at such an early stage. All groover wanted to know is what happens next, not how much it's gonna cost. After all we are in the business of reclaiming money, not giving it away

Erh well only depends on you point of view glasshalf empty or half full AS IT WERE. i wasnt attempting to scare him with the fasttrack link you see not only does it set out the potential costs (that can be applyed & redeemed when the bank settle). But mentions the steps and the related costs to be better prepaired.
you see i got that motto as I started out as a cub

groover
if you haven't allready i sugest you read through the FAQ section and the section in the forum that is dedicated to the financial institute you plain on claiming from.

Thanks for all the great advice...and don't worry I'm not easily scared lol. The amount I think I'll be trying to claim back makes it worth the risk. I stand to gain more than I stand to lose...so here goes!
