Default Hello Folks

Hello Folks

1st time poster here. Been reading various posts, threads, etc. over the last few days to gain an insight into how to proceed. I am intending to reclaim charges from various credit card companies, starting with HSBC for £60.00. I have a quick question regarding 'The schedule of Charges' simple excel worksheet. I am not intending to claim any interest on my charges as it is too small to be worth it. Am i correct in thinking that i should use the 'simple excel worksheet' as my schedule of charges attachment but i should delete the 'Interest 8% APR' column? Should i delete the 'Days since offence' column as well? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi Russh

And welcome aboard.

The simple spreadsheet will work out the section 69 8% interest which you will be entitled to claim when and if you file te claim at court.

Until then you can claim the charges alone, therefor, for the prelim request for payment and letter before action letters just print the schedule without the interest detailed.

I would keep the spreadsheed "as is" and copy/past the bits you want to a word doc for the letters.

There is a lot of information on this site so take your time and spend a couple of days reading as much as you can.

Here are a couple of links to get you started and i suggest you always keep them to hand.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.c o.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/24031-frequently-asked-questions.html

http://www.consumeractiongroup.c o.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-example-step-step-instructions.html

When you are comfortable start a thread "XXXX v Bank Name here" in the relavent bank forum as then people with specific experience of this bank can offer support and advice.

There is a lot of information to take in here so if unsure it is allways best to Ask first.

If you need a quick answer to a question you could always try the chatroom as there are usually some very helpful people in there.

Hope it helps!!

Very best of luck

BB

In the case of a 60 quid refund request, its almost certain that they will refund this probably after your preliminary letter.
