Just wanted to say hi.

I have been "lurking" for a while now whilst trying to soak up as much information as possible. But I have got my first reaction from the Halifax today and have to tell someone! Basically today is when the 40 day deadline for compliance with the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) hits. And despite repeated phone calls I have received nothing. And now the phone number to call is on answer machine. So today I sent an email to the big boss K Horsby (thank you CAG for email address) saying that if I did not receive a phone call with a proposed action plan I would be sending a letter with my intention to take them to court to get them to comply with the Data Protection Act.

Yep, got a phone call soon after - a list of charges was being printed off as we spoke and would be in the post first class today!!!!!

Well done, ok you need to read the FAQs and step by step instructions this will give you a good knowledge of what you need to do. Once you are clued up start a thread in your bank forum I have posted the link for you.
