Hello and bank charge advice needed!!

Hi Guys,

Seems like a great site you have here, I will be having a good look around over the coming days as i'm sure there is much of use to me.

To save some time though I was hoping someone could give me a bit of initial advice/point me in the right direction.

Basically I am badly done in with debt,....credit cards, bank overdrafts, you name it. This situation has spiralled over the past 12 months and most of the debts have been moved on to third party firms.

What I am wondering, as ridiculous as it sounds, is can I still reclaim excessive charges from the original creditors??

For example, even though I owe Halifax a shed load of money, now they have sold my debt on, is there a realistic chance that they would agree to hand over another grand to me in excessive bank charges?? Are they obliged to even??

Anyone who could pass on some advice, maybe someone with a similar situation??

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Hello and welcome, Staveros.

I've just filled a Summary Cause action against Capital One Bank and they have sold my account to a third party. I'm sure you can but I,ll have to wait untill March to see if they pay up. Have a look in the Halifax Forum, read a few threads then ask some questions. There are plenty of people in the same boat as you.
