Nissan UK Hi, I am a new member today. First a confession: I am a former (HSBC) bank employee and, as such, have seen life "on the other side". All I would say is that 90% of what people moan about re high street banks is true. Personally, I feel sorry for a lot of my former colleugues who have little choice than to tow the company line...one of the reasons I am no longer working for a bank is the enormous stress caused by the contradiction between company policy and what I felt to be right. Anyway, 'nuff said on that. Second: I am now a self-employed courier driver and Nissan van owner. On 4th January I broke down on the M40 and had it towed into my local Nissan dealership. Yesterday, the van was towed to a mechanic who I know and trust. The engine was in 17+ bits in the back. What happened in the meantime beggars belief - I wouldn't treat a dog like Nissan UK and the local dealership treated me over the past month. To cut a v. long story short, they have reneged on a warranty that only a week or so ago they told me was approved. I took the day off yesterday to compose written documents to support my case and to seek advice, and I'm now proceeding via small claims court. Anecdotal evidence I have gathered seems to indicate that this ducking out of warranty liability is extremely common - it certainly seems so with Nissan and Renault in my area.
The precise details are way, way beyond the remit of this posting but if anyone is interested in more detail please ask. |
