Default Urgent. Client requires some help.

My client moved house last year, closing his RBS current account mortgage. He also had a separate loan with them. The mortgage was cleared fine, and he is living in his new property.

He is renovating another house, and went to use his trusty B & Q card and was declined. Also on a business overdraft declined.

It turns out that RBS personal loan has numerous missed payments as a direct debit was not set up correctly and his account address details were not updated, all conected to RBS.

Bank is happy for him to repay the arrears of £1500 but said that the DD error is my clients fault, the bank staff denying a conversation that took place about it. and therefore would leave the late payments record as it was. Hardly fair.

Your thoughts of how to tackle the Bank are most welcome, is it within their powers to accept some responsibility and clean the late payments from his file?

We are due to see the bank tomorrow at 3pm - so some urgent guidance welcome!

Can i ask a really simple question, if this is a client why are you needing to ask for help, surely you have all the answers if your providing a service for others?

ok then may i suggest reading the faqs listed in library and get to understand the process.

Also consider helping out with questions ppl on here may have with regards to mis selling PPI, inside info on how things work etc
