Schedule of charges

Hi everyone

Hope i have not messed up at stage 2 I have recieved copies of statements from the past 6 years. I photo copied them all and highlighted all the charges. I then added it up and calculated what the interest was.
I have sent all this off to the bank with template letter.
Is the schedule of charges whats on my statements and is that the schedule of charges?

how did you calculate the interest?
did you use our spreadsheets?

Hi
What i did is photo copied all my statements which show charges, date and amount. I then highlighted them and calculated the amount. I then put the amount into a section which is on this site to get the interest amount.
With the standard letter i put the amount of charges along with the interest amount and sent them to the bank with copies of charges on statement showing where they have placed charges.
Thank-you with the help you are giving me.
I have had a look at the exel spread sheet but do not understand how the information from my statement relate to going onto it. The wording on my statement is not the same as whats on the excel spread sheet.
I thought that you use this excel spread sheet before going to court when calculating interest.
The information i sent to the bank with letter ,is it not a schedule of charges and is that not the best proof of information for charges that they have taken from me.

No it was not the spread sheet on google.
What i did is added up my charges from my statements then used the Consumer Action Group on-line interest calculator 8% and then sent them a copy of statements with the charges, dates and amount highlighted with letter of amount of charges and interest which was calculated on the on-line interest calculator at 8%. Surely my statements with charges on are the most accurate of schedules of charges? Thanks for your help.

Ok. The only real mistake is that you can't claim the 8% interest before you file a claim at court and this shouldn't be mentioned in your prelim and LBA.

Sending copies of statements is fine, except that you have to send these several times in the course of your claim. Much better to use a schedule of charges (just a single sheet). Plus the online-calculator is under-calculating at 7.3% instead of 8%

Use the Simple s/s here:
6. Interest calculation spreadsheets

Overwrite the existing example type of charge, amount and date. The days since and 8% will be calculated automatically.

Save it (for use later at court), delete/hide the last 2 columns (8% bits) and print out as your schedule of charges and enclose this with your LBA
