Talking Norwich and Peterborough building society

Hi, I have sent a letter to my bank to ask for statements over the past 6 years which they did send, within the 40 days, However, the second letter asking for the money back, I have received a reply stating that they will be replying 7 working days as from the date the manager who is dealing with it received the letter.
Fair enough I thought, but still no reply and it is now 14 days since the letter was posted, and 10 days since the manager received it. 2 of those being a weekend.
I do believe it is now time to post a letter to the courts, but I am not sure how to go about this can anyone help me, as to the correct procedure.

Hi there, as yet I have not sent a letter to threaten action at the local court. Trouble is I am having difficulty finding the templates for the correct order of sending. I shall look again in the libary templates and see If I can find the correct letter. I have opened another bank account ready for Norwich and P to close my bank account.
My last letter from them offered me half of the charges back only, and said they will close my account.
Can anyone tell me, does this go against me in the future. Also do I charge interest to them at this stage or only if applying to the courts.
And also how do I work the interest out, I have attempted to copy the templates to work it out, but been unsuccessful. I also have read that charges are at 8per cent then I also read charges are at 15%.

Well I am now off to sort out the letters necessary and then to send them. Is an emailed letter to a bank acceptable

Hope someone can help, although looking at all the questions on the forum, everyone seems to be in limbo waiting for banks to reply.
best wishes

Hi there,

I received my bank statements last week from N&P and recommend everyone takes the time to look at them - you will be surprised how much you have actually been charged! I thought mine added up to about £200 approx, in actual fact they came to over £1000 with the 8%. I have sent my 2nd letter requesting them to be refunded and they have returned a letter saying they will get back to me in ten days. I have opened up another account should they opt to close mine however I was wondering if anyone has received a full refund yet from N&P??

Thanks
