i thought threads were clothes!!. i'm new to this , i know all the information is here somewhere but could somebody simply briefy explain each step to take to reclaim my bank charges. i've looked in the library and it does'nt seem to take you through step-1-2-3 etc etc. any help would be appreciated. mike.

Hi Mike and welcome!

You're in the right place! Read the FAQs and template letters, then read up in the forum for your bank to see how your fellow claimants have got on. Post in there with your story once you are ready and get the benefit of their experience! There's a trail of useful parts of the site to visit in my sig below.

There's a step by step guide in the FAQ area, but do read up on all the information available there and it will help you to understand what you are doing and the legal reasoning behind it. Remember that the banks spend massive amounts of legal departments who will be eager to find any weakness in your attempt to get your money back. The more you know the less chance they have of persuading you that they are the good guys after all!
