Angry Woolwich Bank

Hi i would like to say a big hello to everyone, as i am so ecstatic i have found help to begin battle with my bank.

Over the numbers of years now, i cannot count how many charges they have imposed on me for going as little as £1.60 to a maximum of £10.00 over my overdraft and charging me £35.00 a return.

They are absolutely ruthless and when you ring them to advise them of only going over by a little amount, they just say theres nothing i can do about it!

Try asking them for a higher overdraft on a temporary basis mine is currently at £500 and they always say they have to credit check me, which i know is going to fail anyway due to going over the overdraft limit, so there you are in a catch 22 situation.

You would not believe how relieved i am to find a site that helps people with these problems.

Let the battle commence!!

Hi and welcome!

Take your time and have a good read of the FAQs and the templates letters, followed by a browse through many of the threads in the forum for your bank (see links in my sig, below). When you are ready to start, post in your bank's forum and report your progress in that thread as well as asking your questions (there won't be too many if you've read the FAQs properly) and you will get the best out of this site and all the accumulated experience here!
