... I am sadflower, basically I am a distressed person who seems to never be free from hassel. I am 50 and have tried so hard to make ends meet. I need to see how others cope in difficulties and how I can.

You will learn a lot here,there is so much information. The best advice for you is to read as much as possible, especially the areas which interest you.
