Need some help or advice.
I have a small fully qualified Electrical business which has only 3 Partners and no employees !!
We have been working for an Housing Association for at least 16 years providing them with a good service without any form of complaints and continue to do so.
We have been doing aerial and satellite work for tenants TV distribution repairs under an Housing Association for this time also and advised them on what repairs where needed to achieve various upgrades including the Digital switchover.
Now our question is:
We have been asked to fill out a pre-tender application form for an area LOT for TV upgrades from another of the the larger group of Housing Associations who is controlling the new contracts, we sent forms and waited for result. We have explained thus far that even though they are aware we are a very small business and could manage repairs/fault tracing, but overall install on blocks is too large for us without a serious ammount of staff. We are likely to lose about a quarter of or yearly income as contracts go over.
Now the Housing Assc requires us to supply a document stating that we do not carry out any TV/satellite repairs to the Housing Associations as per Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)
So basically we will lose our long running works we depend on as we are not large enough to cope with the new upgrades !!
I hope that you can help in some way and I have try to explain as best as possible.
Regards
