Interest Added After Default?

Hello everyone.
Could anyone advise as to whether interest and late payment charges can be added to an account after it has been defaulted and point to the relevant legislation. Ive a credit card debt with GE money that was defaulted at the end of last year but continued to have interest and charges added until it was sold to a DC in May who then immediately got a CCJ n default while i was in Spain.

Welcome to the site.Are you asking if the CREDITOR can further apply late charges and interest after a default ?
Or whether you can apply the additional charges/interest to a claim you make/plan to make ?

I,m asking whether the creditor and / or their assignee can continue to add interest and late payment charges to the account between the time that it was defaulted and the time that the ccj was obtained. thanks
