Question Stubbs Vs LloydsTSB

Morning everyone... Well after several days of reading posts and being nagged at by my mother, I've finally reviewed the past 5 years of bank statements that, for some reason I never threw away.
To my surprise, these fees for bounced Direct Debits and Standing Orders amounted to £1300.
One quick question though - Can I also claim for the additional charges levied on my account for going over the overdraft limit?
I understand that I can't claim for the overdraft interest, but I can't seem to find this information on the forum anywhere.

Some advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,
Stubbs.

Hi Stubbs welcome to the site,
If the charges say something like "over limit fee" then Yes you can claim back the charges for going over your overdraft limit. The overdraft fee relates to your overdraft so no you cannot reclaim these.

Could you post your future posts in the Lloyds Bank forum please as this will enable you to keep track of it easier as time goes by and also you will get better help off of the other Lloyds bank members

Good Luck with your claim

Hi Mechs,

Thanks for the info - just to recap then... if the statement says "overdraft excess fee, I can claim that too?
If so, I think I was a little too hasty in sending the initial letter off, and I need to have another look at my statements!!!

Oh poo!
