in exactly the same position. myself and my partner have paid around 3000 in the past two years and were practically forced to take out a loan. My partner ended up crying in the middle of one of their branches over the charges. ie £40 for a 67p i-tunes transaction when it was their charge that put us in the red? unbelievable. I intend to get our money back. good luck to you and hi to everybody here!

Hi i did exactly the same as your wife i stood there and cried when they told me to cancel the direct debit for my mortgage to avoid the costs they only had 2 dd and 1 chq which was unpaid which came to 285 and in three weeks they charged us 1000 and then we couldnt afford the mortgage suggesting we extend the overdraft to pay the charges and get a loan to pay the mortgage! I thought we were safe putting our money in a bank, thought they were supposed to advise you wisely with your money not force you to take on more debt obviously if your in trouble you need a little help not extra burden! good luck in your trouble shooting we just want our money back and all the other charges that they have put on us for no apparent reason! Kind Regards Louise
