Default Help Please

Hello,

Delighted to dicover this site after realising the BoS have been unlawfully charging me over the years.

I am at the stage where I have identified the charges on two accounts over the past 6 years (£1600 & £400 plus interest) and have phoned the bank to complain and ask for a refund. Customer relations were not interested in the actual figures but have sent me a letter stating they will investigate my complaint and promise to reply within 40 days.

I know that I should be dictating the process and using the letters listed on this site but I am confused about the procedure for taking this claim to court and for my peace of mind this process needs to be clear before I proceed any further.

Thank you in anticipation of your advice.

Hello,

If you follow maroon's advice, you will have the info to start your claim.

Just a quick word, though, you don't have to start the claim until your ready. Have a good llok around, get used to the idea of taking on a bank, and learn whats involved.

When your confident begin the process. The more time and effort you put in now, learning and understanding, the easier it will be for you later on.

Good luck

Thanks,

It is starting to look a bit clearer now.

would you advise treating the outstanding amount as one or should I split it into the two accounts?

Welcome to the site.
As has been suggested you really need to know what you are doing and be well prepared.
For this reason you should read up more and have a look around in particular threads from the bank you are gonna be claiming from.
You cannot ask for any interest until you file the court claim.
Stat interest is court discretion, although you can tell them you will be filing for it.
Preparation is the key and it cannot be made clear enough.
No one walks before they can crawl.......the time that you spend learning will reap rewards later...in this case get your money back without costly mistakes that may hinder it.
