Help with Direct Auto Finance Please!

My friend has just told me about finance and PPI on a car she has with DAF.
She said that they have contacted her saying that there is a limited time offer that she can take to settle the whole of the PPI side of the finance left which is £1975 by paying £500.
They have already contacted her in the past to say she can settle the amount she owes for the car by paying £4000 which she did. They then said later that she would still have to carry on paying the PPI at £75 a week which she has been doing for the last two years. They never told her it was cancellable for up to 14 days after purchase, and when she bought the car, she was told that the only way she would get it was if she took the PPI too.

What does anyone recommend that she does now? Is the company going bust or what because it seems like they're trying to get all the money they can before some kind of takeover.
I suggested that she requests a CCA but I'm unsure of these car and finance places as I've oly dealt with banks and credit cards before now.

Hi. Ive been to the site suggested in post 2 but there doesn't seem to be many people on the forum and it's taking quite a while to get replies.
Should I just draft up a CCAR for her to send? Is there a template?
