HI guys,

Bit of a muddle really, where to start...

I am off work sick and I am not covered for payments, I have been docked pay because the idiots in work are on a industrial action (lets not get into that), so basically.. I cannot afford the car no more...

I pay £180 a month and yesterday I had to go to the bank and canel the DD payment, which is due tommorow.

I dont know what to do, to expect or what they can do...

I mean, I know im going to probably be taken to court and asked to pay the remainder of my contract, as I am only 9 months into it.

I am in **** street as I do not know what to do...

SHould I write a letter, tell them I want to default the payments and tell them to reposess the car?

I know they will probably send someone out to take the car, I am not bothered by that, I just ain't having them push me about like I am a criminal.

If you contact them and explain what is happening and also confirm it in writing then hopefully yhey will come up with an affordable payment plan. But do not enter into a new HP agreement with them, ie same debt over a longer term as you will end up paying a fortune Keep copies of all letters that you write to them but I stress put it all in writing. I have been in a very similar situation to you so I can empathise but don't bury your head in the sand matey. deal with it head on. best of luck.

But thats the thing mucker, I cannae afford to keep up ANY repayments, in my current state of health I cannot return to work and work are not going to pay me any sick pay.
