Default Urgent help needed

I did a straight swap with a very large car company last week, I gave them my 02 Grand Vitara for a 51 Plate renualt clio. (stupid i know but i could not afford to insure the vitara)

The clio has now after 7 days started showing problems service light and air bag light are lit up. and brakes are not right.
I went into the company to day and they said it was sold as seen and they will not do anything about it as the clio was in there bargin basement. There are no signs near the cars in this section to say that.

What can I do?

There is no such thing as 'sold as seen'. go back and demand that they put right the faults or it's court.
It don't matter if the car was £1, the soga still applies.

Actually, using 'sold as seen' can be a criminal offence.

Are you female wobbles.

yes im female.

But my dad works at the dealer parttime (he is nearly 6, and although they did threaten to end his emplotment just before he went on holiday 2 weeks ago, he came back from holiday to be told his job is safe but the manager has had a nervous breakdown and is off sick, I dont really want to drag my dad into it.

I sent an email to head office yesterday quotoing SOGA but as yet I have had no reply.
Think I will write to the dealer, then they will hopefully reply in writing that way if I need trading standards I have proof of what has been said.

Hi just a quick update

The sales manger rang me yesterday to say he wanted to swap back then if i was not happy with the car, I told him i am happy with the car itself just not the faults and I dont want to swap back because everytime i amend the insuarnce it cost me £40, I have told him i am having the car inspected at renault and once the inspection is complete i will be in touch with him with regard the cost of repair, because he says they are a vauxhall dealer they cant do the repairs.

Can I charge them the £82 inspection fee that renault are going to charge me on top of the cost of repairs?

Thanks
