| | Gold Account Customer | Re: Renault Clio - Stalling anyone? I bought a R reg Clio ( the old model ) in March this year, Great little runner, however have noticed in the recent warm weather, that the little minx does stall at times, i put this down to myself not controlling the revs and clutch good enough, my partner does'nt have the same problem with the Escort. nor do i when i borrow it, i have also noticed that when i 1st use the car in the morning, the 1st time i brake, i hear a slight scraping noise, this i have had checked at kwik fit, and i'm assured nothing is wrong with the brakes etc. another thing that bafflied me. but all said and done, i find the clio a great little car, great for the city where i live and good on fuel consumtion.. Keep hold of the car, as it wont lose much in value. |

| | Basic Account Customer | Re: Renault Clio - Stalling anyone? Hi - did you buy the car new or second hand?
If second hand, the responsibility lies with the vendor....(actually, it does if new too, but if bought new Renault will take more interest).
The things Renault will look for are: - Was the car purchased new, from a renault dealer?
- Has the car got a full renault service history?
If the answer to these are yes, then Renault will consider a gesture of goodwill towards repair, depending on mileage.

What happens is as the brakes cool in the evening, they attract condensation and this will form very, very slight surface rust on the disk overnight. The first application of brakes in the moring will clean this off.
It is also quite normal for there to be a noise if you brake very gently with disk as the disks drag across the pads and vibrate. |

You obviously have so much money yourself that you can afford tou buy me and the wife a car each. Might as well buy my fatha one too.
If you don't want to do this, I suggest you either buy me 2 houses, closer to where me and the wife work, or just give us £35k cash per annum.
And by the way, current hybrid cars such as the Honda Inshighte or Toyota Pious are far, far worse on fuel economy than a small-ish petrol or diesel such as the Citroen C2 or Pug 107.
[ edited], insulated in your comfy worlds where you can afford a brand new car every 3 years or so, or a shiney house. Some of us don't have this luxury and have to live where we can afford, miles away from scum wagons (public transport), and drive cars several people have owned.
Nee offence like
