Npower - is this in the right thread? Actually I'm not even sure it is Npower (Southern Elec sticks in my mind).
A friend of mine, when staying at a previous address, recived a huge bill from the power company. They disputed it and were told they were in credit, however they were never send a cheque. the credit was small so he never bothered to chase it up.
After getting a copy of his credit report it turns out there is a default listed on the credit record. I'm going to read around a bit as I hope to help him get it removed, but what I'm wondering is what's his redress?
Ok the default should be removed but I doubt the credit reference agency concerned will change it without a fight, and what of the fact he and hiw wife have been declined credit (though they couldn't prove this was due to this).
Stuff like this really irritates me, a cheeky, lazy, company affecting people's lives with thier incompetence. |
