This is a good one- NEVER HAD A GAS METER in the property but received a £790 bill from British Gas addressed to the occupant for gas supplied to the premises.
Spent A

hour on the phone sorting it out received an apology and promise it would not happen again guess what .......6 months later
Another gas bill for £800 along with threats to cut off my gas supply and take me to court.
Puzzels me ......never been a meter, no contract, no gas pipes, no supply what they gonna cut off ?
I have heard that recently there has been a ruling which allows an individual to claim back costs including time, postage and telephone charges from public/private companies sorting out their c**k-ups
ANYBODY KNOW ABOUT THAT RULING?
