I need some advice here, as I can't find an answer anywhere else;

My wife and I took a tenency on a public house the business was in my name; on entry we went through all the procedures taking meter readings and the like, however we didn't sign anything from Npower, this I'm sure; after three years my wife and I decided that we'd had enough and got out again took meter readings etc.. informed the various companies of our new address, and waited for the final bills to arrive, as they did we settled them, however we did not get from form Npower, and to honest forgot all about it as the accounts were finalised and the business bank account duly closed; then two years later go a letter from a DCA demanding payment of some £3k a debt from Npower, and haven't a pot to **** in now, no assets of any value and no house where do I stand? I've still not seen the final bill and of course no way of checking that the readings were correct.
Regards
Boilerman

Do they state whether the readings were estimates, read or customer provided?

Hi Boilerman send the DCA a CCA request also stating you do not acknowledge the debt which should get them off your back for now, then write to Npower with your concerns you have raised here, get back to us when you get your replies.

Npower? Not sending bills when requested? Now, theer's a surprise (see Npower have fitted a key meter for an account they know is in dispute ).

I'd take that up with energywatch straight away - from what I've read on this and other sites, this seems to be happening a lot.

A CCA request is of no use as they do not have to comply and do not fall under these regulations. You can send them a Subject Access Request. If the bill is over 2 years old and you have not been sent an accurate bill for a 2 year period it is not justified.
