Default N Power are sending me the wrong bill and now i am being hassled with debt collecters

I lived in a rented acoomodation, there was 5 of us students, and we moved out on 30th june. Since, I have contacted N Power via email, phone and post telling them the date we moved out, a contract of our tenancy and the gas and electricity meter readings of the day we moved out. They have got my new adress and have been sending me wrong dates of our move out date for the bills. This has been happening since june, they havnt yet given me the correct bill. But with the wrong bills, that are dated until september, I am now recieving two different debt collecter letters through the post regarding the incorrect bills. N Power stated on the phone and sent a letter of apology, but I still did not recieve any information of which they would send me in the next few days of how they are going to rectify the problem. Now I have just had a letter through the post that we are definatly going to county court. N Power are still not co operating on the phone. Every time they say we have fixed the problem but then they seem to add to the problem.
Please someone help me. I do not know how to clear my name with the debt colecters and I do not know what else to do regarding N Power with trying to finalise the bill and get all this mess sorted out.

Thanks x

Time to make sure that you have kept all of the letters NP have sent to you. Put a list of everything in a letter to them, tell them that you have co-operated all the time and that you are waiting for an accurate bill from them. Also tell them that you will contest any claim (and maybe that you will seek damages for any actions that they take).

It sounds to me like you have given them more than enough time to sort it out. I would now contact Energywatch and let them deal with it.
